Actually I think the deal makes alot of sense for Quebec.... I would expect they are seriously considering dealing Desfosses but it makes no sense for us as we need 18 year old forwards not another plugger and a goalie

Maybe those needs are part of another deal. We apparently have several options being shipped out.  Hope no one bought those Rocket team posters yet.....probably be a few new heads to paste on. ;D |

I have a question for rocket fans... when exactly is the goal to get past the 2nd round of the playoffs??. Now i do like the Rocket, there my 2nd team after the Seadogs since i do live in Saint John. But does anyone think it is time for the GM to go and a fresh start?? It seems year in year out things look promising now.. this year its a firesale.

BC could upgrade on their 20 situation, and I believe Savard was quoted in the paper just before the draft saying that he really liked this Bourque kid.......so it sort of does make sense. Then again, who knows what will take place.....not me! |

He is right now the best galie in the league. Remparts would be asking for a great defence or a goalie |

Unless that pick is flipped back at the draft for a player like a Tousignant or even perhaps somebody like Breault (if he were to return to the Q) then I say no deal Bourque is a solid player but we need to hit a homerun at the deadline.. not a bloop single |

What about a possible trade with Lewy?
I heard that they could be interested in Lessard and possibility Mo as well.
If a trade did happen between these two clubs, perhaps they'll want to add young Tanner Manson as well.....for the future.
I personally would like to add Paquette from Lewy. He's talented, tough and only 17. Sure he may not be in the best of shape, and sure he's a bit on the "cheap" side, but at 17, he could mix in well with our other young talent.
D-man Cusack, who's 18, would be a very nice addition as well.
Thoughts?

I know it likely wouldn't happen but if I had a choice of players off of Lewiston, I would like to see Marshall or Delmas in a Rocket uniform.
Delmas is only 17 but does have experience and plays well, plus he would make it an interesting/competitive camp next fall for our goalies which would give us some options in goal, especially for trades (that's if they decide to move Lafleur at this trading period).
I've always liked Marshall and would be an ideal 19 year old experienced blueliner for next year something that the Rocket currently don't have for next season. Like I said it likely wouldn't happen to get either or, but those two would be my choices from Lewiston.

And Lewiston has a history of hanging on to their best assets, so I can't see either of these players getting traded. Especially Marshall, until perhaps next year. Cusack is definitely a player I would target though if Lewy were trying to work out a deal for Lessard or Morrison. We need 18 year old depth more then anything, and he's a solid 2 way defenceman. Paquette would be a great addition as well, a scrappy young player that would definitely become a fan favorite. |

Paquette is not going to be a top line forward tho.... plus there are rumours of underlying issues (ie conditioning/attitude) things we don't need to spread thruout our locker room
Cusack yes.. Paquette no.. I'd rather target Beaton

Yeah, I'd take Beaton over Paquette, I'll agree with you there. I'd want Cusack ahead of both of them though. An 18 year old future top pairing defenceman should be our #1 priority if we're going to sell, IMO.
