I don't see much movement in the next couple of days, but anything is a surprise, remember they traded Jonathan Boutin at the dying seconds of the trade deadline when he went, so anything can happen, but I think the team we see today will be the same team after the deadline on Tuesday.

Savard seems asleep at the switch. You guys have nice assets to trade and could set up a run next year, but because of his ineptitude you guys will be mid pack again next year and he'll wonder why fans don't come out. Right now you are losing big players next year and don't have the depth to go anywhere this year.

Heard a rumor tonight as the game ended that a couple kids got traded, including Lafleur.
Unsure how true it is, or any other info.....

With Savard and Co getting a solid return back for Lessard...a deal that we clearly got the edge on, is Savard done?
What about: Lafleur Mo/Walker
As mentioned by others, I too think we'll see one of Mo or Walker traded....and I actually have been hearing Walker's name...but to me that makes little sense.
I think that we will see LAfleur traded......and if the deal is too good to pass up, Mo as well.
So, if we do trade a player (MO), which teams may be interested.....and who may come in return?

I always just assumed it would be Morrison traded and to be honest I am still hoping it will be. Not that I don't love watching Morrison play as he is a terrific hockey player simply because I am a little concerned that Morrison's play might slack off a little plus Walker not only has huge motivation to continue his play all season (ie. AHL contract) but he has also shown great chemistry with Lachaine. There is also the factor that with Tousignant, Doyle & Lachaine we have 3 players who can play centre so moving Morrison would make the most sense on that front as well. Now let's look at their stats before Sunday's game: Morrison (39 gms - 22 goals - 53 pts) Walker (38 gms - 20 goals - 52 pts) Of course Morrison had a 4 goal game but heading into the night they were pretty close in points. Also let's look at the past 12 games from Dec 2 until Friday night's game. Morrison (12 gms - 8 goals - 13 pts) Walker (12 gms- 8 goals - 18 pts) Walker has been the hotter player. And Walker also brings a different element than Morrison in being a big power forward which few teams really have. Having said that both Morrison & Walker are tremendous hockey players that any team would love to add. The question becomes from their standpoint who might they prefer? As much as I would enjoy watching both of them for the rest of the season I say the Rocket move whichever player generates the best return.

I agree that Walker has been playing great this season....no doubt. I just think that to other teams, Mo, comes off as the "safer" player to add. With Savard pulling the trigger with Lessard.....I hope he continues with one of those two..........and Lafleur.

I agree with you IMO Morrison is still the better trade option both from out perspective and other teams. Having said that Walker is also a terrific player who has been having a tremendous season and he offers a different element than Morrison does so I can see where a team might prefer him over Morrison. Either way like you I really hope we move one of them for the betterment of the team.

I thought Chouinard was in charge of player personnel ... is he just a puppet of Savard ? WOW I didn't realize that all coaches who have GM's are simply puppets. Someone better explain that to Groulx and the other Q coaches who have a GM. As I explained before, not all teams work the same as Moncton's. With PEI Savard is still the GM and Chouinard is was named Director of Hockey Operations in recognition that he will have significant imput on all moves made. Just as our local paper stated: Rocket head coach Guy Chouinard backed the deal. He doubles as the club’s director of hockey operations

Just as our local paper stated: Rocket head coach Guy Chouinard backed the deal. He doubles as the club’s director of hockey operationsIf Savard still makes the trades ... then Chouinard's title is just a hollow shell. Being Director of Hockey Operations means you are in charge of everything having to do with the hockey side of the business ... while the GM will be in charge of the business side. If Savard still deals the cards then Chouinard is not "Director". Call him Asst. Director if you want ... or Asst. GM ... but he isn't Director. I thought everybody was saying that Chouinard was going to need some time to put his stamp on this team. That won't happen at all if Savard is making the trades. If Savard and Chouinard don't agree on some aspect of a trade or the way a player is being utilized ... who gets the final say ? You will run into the same problem that Bathurst has ... LGM not letting Couturier do his job ... although that may be a good thing in their case ... I don't think it will be in your's. I think the Rocket will be a much better franchise if Chouinard doesn't have to answer to anybody on player decisions. If Savard doesn't like the job Chouinard does then he still has the right to fire him ... but if he is meddling in Chouinard's job then how can you fire him ? Savard should only be there as a consultant to Chouinard ... as he knows the league better than Chouinard at this point ... give advice when its asked for.

Well it doesn't really say that ... it says he is handing over the "GM duties" but Chouinard will be Director of Hockey Operations. It doesn't say that Chouinard is the GM ... but it does say that you can't be GM and Governor ... so its unclear. Savard probably just retained the title of President and the new title of Governor and there is no official GM ... and Savard runs the business side. So ... you people shouldn't be referring to any of these moves as Savard's moves but rather Chouinard's ... its disrespectful.
