Loik Leveille highlight goal - OT Game Winner is on utube sports and Moore did it I didn't post it cause I didn't know how Highlite goal? - Pretty ordinary shot & the kid missed it. 3 on 3's are at least better than shotouts as determinates but the real game ended back at regulation - anything lucky can happen in this 3 on 3 format. I honestly think its better to take a penalty to get a 4th skater on the ice for the other team - it clutters the ice up more. They hardly looked like a Mem. Cup contender. If something happened to #37 they might not be a div. contender. There's little reason for over confidence yet.

Take the best player away from any contender and they're not going to look as good as they do with a full roster. Considering the full team has been together for 5 days or so there's still a ton of room for improvement as well.

Your outlook is more realistic than many that wish to pass out crowns now.
I say they're thin.
When Halifax were without MacKinnon & Drouin for extended periods, they still had the depth to win in extended streaks. There's maybe too much riding on #37 & that's not good.

Not even like its the full roster either, an impact 20 year old can make a world of difference, pushes a guy like Sorrentino / Fournier down a line. Not like we're gonna play the year our with 2 20's.

People need to relax a bit. This is getting annoying. It is what 5 or 6 games into the season, Come on people any knowledgable hockey fans know the season is not made in the first week or two of the season. Especially in junior with players from all teams away at nhl camps. The Eagles may not look like Mem Cup contenders but neither does any other team in the league at this point in the season. Stop hating everyone and enjoy some fun hockey. If at Christmas time we are not where we should be then by all means call the team, management and BOD out! Way to early to do that now.

Halifax had a much different rebuilding plan and way more resources then us. To try to compare the 2....is completely pointless in all honesty. If Halifax couldn't have acquired MacKinnon and Drouin and had to build around Euros like Frk would the outcome have been the same? Likely not. We have the resources and the key parts right now to put a Mem Cup contender on the ice come April and May. Does anything else matter in ..... September?

The Mooseheads had what every championship has to have - depth!
"We have the resources" - you should elaborate.

A good prospect pool and a lot of draft picks over the next 2 years. Exactly what every team will want in return for their veteran talent. Plus, as others have said, we have room for a 20.

They'll need to cash in resources to add enough depth for a serious run.

They'll need to cash in resources to add enough depth for a serious run. If Ranger returns they will only have to add 1-2 top 9 forwards. They are set on defence and unless Belanger is extremely terrible or a true upgrade becomes available they are set in net.

They'll need to cash in resources to add enough depth for a serious run. Define depth exactly. We have 19yr olds like MacSween on our 4th line. What we miss up front is not depth it's another impact winger in the top 6. On the blueline we could use a top 4 guy...maybe top 3...but we're far from weak with 5 19 or 20's among the 6 D. We've also played all but 10 minutes without either of our 2 top 6 picks from June. I don't think depth is our issue at all. It's the missing 20 and 1 more top 3 or 4 Dman that will really cement us as an elite team. But those are not coming for another 3 months yet.

The mention of all these ADDITIONS is a recognition of the depth required to be a championship team.

The mention of all these ADDITIONS is a recognition of the depth required to be a championship team. Nobody is saying that the team they are icing in September is a championship caliber team.
