That hit was not even bad. You guys have to get over it. The spear was a much more dirty and cheap shot. Garland turns every time someone try's to hit him. He will have to get used to being hit. It's hockey. Always sooking and mouthing off doesn't help his case. Anyways good luck to the Cats tonight. He took a poke at somebody's leg, how is that hugely "dirty". They wear shin pads that stop 100mph pucks, I doubt that hurt... Not like he speared a guy in the eyeball. It was more taking a poke to annoy the player than cause serious injury.

All very interesting comments on Connor Garland. Give the kid his due, he is a skilled hockey player but he needs to give up this agitating act or he will get clobbered. Remember, he is 19 years old and soon will finish junior hockey and if he goes on to play pro hockey or university hockey, he will be competing with guys who are 20-27 years old and they will not put up with his antics. He will get clobbered, these type of players always do.I have also read on previous blogs about Garland playing 3-4 minute shifts, no wonder he can play that long, he never back checks or skates in his own end. That is the coaches fault and not good for the players development.

If you think the Bishop hit was dirty, look up the Eagles game recap on YouTube. At the very end during the scrum, It shows how dirty Garland is as he spears our player with his stick I saw that when it happened ... but it was in retaliation for the hit after the buzzer that prompted that final scrum ... that scrum didn't happen for no reason. I've never said Garland is an angel ... he brings a lot onto himself. But that doesn't justify players trying to take his head off or take out his knees.

That's some poke then. It was a spear. If we did that you guys would be doing the same. Not taking any credit from Garland. He is a highly skilled player. That was not to annoy the player it was a cheap shot. They happen in hockey I know. Just a dirty play.

It looked to me like an attempted stick up between the legs into the ole wazooo..... probably aimed at the guy who hit him as the final buzzer sounded

Weird schedule ... these two teams play each other 4 times between Sept 30 and Oct 28. They don't play them after January 19th...the last 8 weeks of the season.

Looked more like a shot between the legs or to the stomach than a shot to the shins but whatever. Pretty gutless move when the player he spears is tied up with another player and Garland is standing outside the scrum pitch forking him. The hit was at the buzzer not what I'd call late

So ... any suspensions coming from last nights game ? I am pretty sure Klebanskyj is suspended for being 3rd man in. Kelly Klima had two fights ... but I think that is just an accumulation of code 4's ... no suspension. I don't think anybody from CB was assessed anything that would bring a suspension ... although the knee from Bishop was dirty and only wasn't worse because Garland side stepped most of it. However, his intent was there and he shouldn't get a break for half-missing. It was plain dirty. Looks like none, thought 3rd man in would be automatic, guess not.
