Great game tonight. A good win. Nice to seem them beat one of the top 3 teams in the league. Defensive play looked pretty good today. Main was very steady and had a good game. Morrison was on fire. To bad he didn't get on the ice for the empty netter to complete his hat trick. I think a solid 60 minutes on Sunday and we should beat Chicoutimi without too much of a problem. The Paynter fight was good.

That wasn't a bad game tonight, I thought most everyone played well and the Rocket were deserving of the win. I think the biggest difference is that they skated for the entire 60 minutes without really slacking off for a shift.
Not taking anything away from the Rocket, but I thought Halifax looked a bit lost without Vorachek and MacMillan, but then again if the Rocket were without their two top forwards they would probably be in the same boat. The penalties for Halifax, particularly in the second period, really hurt the Mooseheads.
I thought that was a good win for them and am looking forward to the game on sunday, perhaps it's the last game we will see at the CCC with this group of players?

Rocket victory extra 'special' Three special team goals propels P.E.I. past Mooseheads CHARLES REID The Guardian
Special teams made the difference as the P.E.I. Rocket scored two power-play goals and one shorthanded en route to a methodical 5-3 win over the Halifax Mooseheads.
Friday’s Quebec Major Junior Hockey League game at the Civic Centre saw the teams combine for 16 power plays (P.E.I. 2-or-6, Halifax 1-for-10) and three goals with the extra man.
Despite giving up the first goal of the game, the Rocket looked in control and pounced on its power-play chances.
“We worked on it a couple of times this week (in practice), but mostly we were moving the puck really well and guys were finding each other” said Rocket forward Brett Morrison, the game’s first star with two goals and an assist.
Four goals in seven minutes marked the first period as Halifax’s Yuri Cheremetiev and Daniel Smith swapped goals with a pair of scores from Morrison.
His first of the game was P.E.I.’s ninth shorthanded goal of the season (second overall in the league) and third versus the Herd.
P.E.I. netted three scores in the second period, thanks to Pierre-Luc Lessard’s seventh of the year sandwiched by power-play goals by Chris Doyle and Bradley Gallant.
Gallant’s goal made it 5-2 and chased starter Brad Yetman for Pierre-Olivier Pelletier, who expected a night off.
The Herd skated without leading scorer Jakub Voracek (50 points in 25 games), who is in his native Czech Republic for the country’s national junor team camp.
Winsloe’s Logan MacMillan was also a scratch. He returned to P.E.I. earlier this week to rest for what was described as exhaustion.
Montrose’s Colby Pridham played in his fifth game since returning from a nagging ankle injury. He was dressed in just 14 of the Herd’s 33 games this season, tallying two goals and seven points. He had three shots in Friday’s game.
“I think with a two-man system they just catch up on more,” He said on the pair of referees in Friday’s game. “They were just seeing more. We have one the best penalty kills in the league, but P.E.I. did a great job tonight and we didn’t.”

Great win by you guys. I didn't see the game as I was watching the Titan loose but anytime you beat a team like Halifax its good. Now we get to watch the Wild Cats struggle in last place. ;D

Very pleased with the effort from the team tonight. Porbably one of the more complete games I've seen from the team. Every line hit the ice looking to do something.
Got to love Paynter....goes with a guy who he's giving up at least a foot in height to and does pretty well. Does that puss Mrs. Smith ever go after anyone his own size? He pulled that shit here last year picking on Doucet and when Enafatti stepped in nose to nose he shrunk away. What a Sally!
How about Gallant getting another PP goal? Well done Brad, well done!
With Lafleur and Gelinas both getting 5 straight starts each....who does Gu go with on Sunday? Hearing lots of talk about Antoine and that dreaded word "attitude". I think a 6th straigth start for MAGs would send a clear and definite message to Lafleur...shape up or be shipped out.
About the one down side to the night was the "wave"....more of a ripple....but then again we've had so little to do a wave about that the crowd is a bit rusty ;D.
Looking forward to a win on Sunday for the last home game before the Christmas break. A win and a good crowd, with hopefully a wave and that's a pretty good early present. I agree with Wingman....might be the last time we see this "group" play together.

Way to try and getter started tho!! Now if we can only get it to go around 12 times like we did at the sky dome when I was there to watch the Jays game, we'd be all set

Was a very good game by the boys full 60 Min played and never gave up. A Few players really have to wake up Doyle is one of these players I don't know what hes doing but its not working for him. It looks like he is playing for him self and thats not how u play in this league I don't know if he got cocky or what but it better stop or he won't get anywhere with the attitude or his play making very sloppy decisions on the ice and it better change or he will be a 20 year old going to play at a University. And latal I don't know what the hell he is doing hes just skating around last night went to the bench when it could have been a 2 on 1 and not skating for the puck that well when its around him I hope this trip does him some good and comes back with more spark and actually wants to play hockey. Other then them 2 players i thought the rest of the team played awesome But they really need to pick up the hitting more Big time. They are just letting players skate into the zone to create a chance and not taken them out which they need to do. Over all very exciting game Got to give paynter the thumbs up on a good tilt with Smith He did pretty good for taken a guy on his size. I don't understand why gallant never fought him though but paynter did an awesome job keep it up. Had a little Chuckle last night seen some for sale signs up around the rink lol. people starting early i guess. Who knows what the new year will bring Good luck sunday GO ROCKET GO

Paytner and Smith have some history. I think its the 3rd or 4th time these 2 have gone at it. Paytner did well aginst someone much bigger than him.Paytner dont need for anyone to fight his battles hes a tough little custumor.Brads hands are all banged up from hitting Moncton player on the helmet last game.Nice to see hes picking up his game and getting rewarded with extra ice time on pp.If Gallant fought Smith as big as he is hes really a non fighter and would only make him look bad, win or lose.
