Richard seems to have paid off.... Number don't tell the whole story there, he did have 2 goals in his first game, I don't really even remember his assists. He's been relegated to the 4th line recently and not playing much. Not a good use of a 5th round pick IMO when we were already deep at FW and lacking picks.

For a 19 yo ... not worth that price at all ... should have been a 7th at best. I'd rather Corson be here getting icetime and he got bounced. If they expect Corson to be part of the future then it was a waste.

Could have kept Corson or could have signed Meisenheimer and brought him in for the second half which apparently was on the table. Either option would have been better than wasting a fifth round pick on a mediocre 19 year old.

The thing is, if you play Richard, he fits a lot better top 6. Then where do you put Karabacek and Murphy? Nice to have depth, but guys get unhappy when you cut their ice time also...

Changes being ... new players in ... former players out ... some getting demoted to lower lines ... some losing PP time ... some sitting out from time to time. Of course we haven't been able to ice a full squad for some time now with injuries and suspensions so anybody that can play is playing. When everybody available is back, I don't see where Pickard and Richard fit in. Garland/Askew/Weiderer Karabacek/Klima/Klima Smith/Bower/Johnson Murphy/McEwan/Cormier Pickard can sub in and out on the 4th line ... but not ahead of Murphy ... and I prefer what Cormier brings compared to Pickard. Richard ... no idea where he fits with a healthy lineup. I'm still not sure that Karabacek should be bumping Murphy out of that 2nd line slot. Murphy works harder and plays more physical ... and investing that icetime in him is worth more in the long run. I have no issues with Mooney and Tesink sharing that #6 slot on D.

As you(or somebody else) stated, they would have been better off investing ice time in Meisenheimer than trading for Karabcek and Richard. Would have saved some picks and not made as many guys unhappy.

While I question the Richard trade, since we have him, use him on the PP (which is what Gatineau I believe was using him mostly for) because while his skating is sub-par his hands aren't and they could use someone like that around the net (Besides Garland).

Wasn't that the reason for Getting Karabacek? Askew is another guy with good hands around the net.

I agree but at this point it couldn't hurt to try him, he was insanely great at it in midget which is the reason he was probably drafted in the first place.

Is your info regarding Crossman accurate ? They sent him home to do what ? Carl Tardif @ctardifsoleil 1 hil y a 1 heure Les #Remparts font le ménage du vestiaire avant les séries: Ethan Crossman, Dakotah Woods et Bryce O'Brien retournés chez eux #lesoleil We'll know more later after Boucher explains why. O'Brien has mono so that's probably the reason in his case.
