I dont understand why you want the Foggies to go out and acquire a marquee 20 year old...youll suck for the next 3 years if you throw away young assets on a guy who will be on your last place team for 3 months.

I would think Morrison would easily be worth more than Kempe or Fillier but wouldn't get you Brennan. That's in terms of value, who knows if any of those guys are available. But I'm not sure why PEI would be looking at 19 years olds (Kempe and Fillier) unless they were going to be top end 20 year old next year. Target some younger players.

Their fan base is dwindling and they're desperate for playoff success. It's kinda backwards though, because it would mean going back into rebuild mode and the fan base would just start dwindling again.

Interesting, considering the Fog Devils much larger population than we have here to draw from, both in the city and provincially, and more importantly, the fact that they have a truly beautiful, large, modern facility, as opposed to The Morgue.

So much for "The Passion Returns", which was their promo theme on the web and elsewhere six months before the first Fog Devil season began.

Perhaps expansion has gone just a tad too far, dunno.....it has diluted the talent even further.......but at least, it's given us this wonderful playoff system!

Yep you're right they have a beautiful rink.. they have a large population base... and their attendance is dwindling.. wonder if it has to do with the fact they haven't iced a legitimate team that can win a playoff round or two yet? Similar to what's happened here... guess all Island hockey fans suck eh.. even those on the other island

nothing wrong with us "mythical" hockey fans at all , but we are hockey fans , either for the devils or whomever. the problem here is that the devils havent iced a decent team since they joined the league...someone stated about not winning a playoff series....they have havent won to many two game series at home since their existence (havent lost to many either....usually they split).

in regards to morrison why would they bother even trying to acquire him?...they just traded away the heart of the team (graham) so they are not to concerned about the rest of this year. and no matter who they do get in this deal that paiment is pursuing actively , they dont have the team to compete against the league leaders anyway , so why bother trying to trade youth for a proven big gun like morrison this year

Yeah it's real easy to ice a team when you start from cast offs?? The attendance is dwindling because people in St. John's were spoiled with the Leafs for too long, a 2 or 3 year wait with no hockey and I think the team would have done better. To be perfectly honest the attendance issues have less to do with on ice problems then they do with the attitude of many people in the St John's area...and for the record our first season we were like 25-8-1-1 at home that’s over half of the 2 game series won.

Also, I have know Idea why rbh is asking this question, as a lot of you had said it would be simply retarded to trade for a high quality 20. If it dose happen I think I will seriously reconsider cheering for the Devils. It would be a totally backwards move after trading away Graham then to go spend assets on picking up a 20 who is a slight upgrade on offence then Ryan. Personally I think rbh has his heads in the clouds, id rather Real sit on the 2 1st rd picks if he has to until the draft and see what we can get then for next season.

For this trading period I expected the Devils to be buyers for next season with some tweaks for this season so far we have the tweaks the next move Real will make should be something for next season.
