you guys should be both buying and selling. This is just the wrong way to go about things for the most part, unless you have a proper plan. It's been what the Rocket have been doing for the last 3-4 years and you can see the results, or lack thereof. Then again, Gatineau usually follows a similar path, and it's worked well for them. They have a bit of a bigger advantage with FAs though, so for St. John's I don't know if that's the way to go. Right now it's all about desperation for the Foggies, as far as I can tell. They're not nearly a contending team, but with a couple of upgrades they can be a 2nd round playoff team at least. And I think that's about what management is hoping for at this point. I hope for the real fans of the Foggies sake that they don't make such an obvious play for the sake of the casual fans, but if so I'd be glad see an Allard, an Adam or a Brennan in a Rocket uniform at some point.

I can't understand why the Devils would even want Morrison.. he would cost a bit and it's not like you guys are making a run..

They wouldn't. There is ONE Fog Devil fan who suggested that they might be interested in a 20 (even though Graham is a better fit for them than Morrison), and people have jumped all over it.

And Krang, you just named the three untouchables for the Foggies Kinda like Graham? You can trade any of those but Graham. He is too valuable as both a local and an impact 20. He has the most value, though...

Allard, Adam or Brennan for Morrison would be the worst possible deal for the Fog Devils while I agree with you that Morrison is a grate player and would be an asset to any team I think your overrating him just a tad did you see the Paris trade? Desnoyers and a 1st for Paris and a 4th. Brennan would have to net at least that plus some since he is basically the same player except that he is a year younger. IMHO Morison isn't worth more then a young prospect (form the midget draft this year) and a 5th or 1st and a project player but that’s just my thoughts. As for the other two they are more valuable to our team then Morrison is for ½ a season.

What's happening in St. John's right now reminds me a LOT of the situation in CB our first 3 years. A bad team the first 3 seasons in a city with an AHL hangover and a rotten lease agreement. What worries me about St. John's is that their costs are higher than CB's, and the "hangover" is worse because the city didn't have ANY time to recover from losing the AHL- it was bad enough here in Sydney with one year's time.
Also, people may be surprised to see St. John's fans speculating on their team taking a run but it wouldn't be a first... THAT is reminsicent of Mark Just taking one last run at it during the Castors final year in Sherbrooke to see if it could save the franchise. It didn't work as they only got to round 2. Ironically enough in that series, it featured two teams on the move (Montreal was who they beat)... and in the series the home team won all 7 games. Strange that would happen between two teams who apparently had such bad fan support that they had to move in the first place!
