Rocket is now 1 point ahead of Moncton, and 1 point behind St John's and Bathurst.
Rocket has 4 games in hand on the Foggies, but have played same number of games as the Titan.
However, Rocket and Titan actually have identical records, if you forget that stupid point for losing - the dumbest idea since glowing pucks - they're both 18-18.
It'll be awfully tough to go from 5th to 4th place, however.....but we all know what making it into 4th place meant to us in last year's playoffs.
The battle for 16th place is really heating up.
Speaking of playoffs, only 12 more weeks (!!) till they start.

This Rocket Team is Very underestimated and could put a strong push on coming into the 2nd half.

This Rocket Team is Very underestimated and could put a strong push on coming into the 2nd half. Other than Bathurst, is there a fan base more extreme than PEI's lol? After a loss, they are burning Savard's house and wanting to trade everyone... then they win a couple games, and they are "underestimated"... The swing from "utterly disgusting" to "potential playoff darkhorse" is game to game

Right now the Rocket has a team that would be very lucky to win a playoff round and that's if they even make the playoffs. They are basically battling it out with the Fog Devils, Bathurst & Moncton for 3 playoff spots. Bathurst and the Fog Devils have made acquisitions to improve themselves this season. Moncton has made changes also and even though they look like changes for the long term I wouldn't count them out, at least they are being realistic about this season.

It would have ranked 1st, but this message board brought it's score down.

I think I should get some credit for that - and so should you.

Other than Bathurst, is there a fan base more extreme than PEI's lol? I'd have to think that Moose fans are right up there.

I'm not happy with the apparent decision to "stand pat" this year.. but that is mostly because of how it has worked in the past... however if we do stand pat i sure wouldn't wanna be the team that draws us in round one... we will be able to push any team to the test

It's not a given that we're going to "stand pat", just a rumor.
Still 10 days left in the trade period.
Let's wait till it ends, then we can judge the results.

Standings after this afternoon's games
.......................GP..........PTS.......
Bathurst...........37............40....
St John's..........41............40...
PEI..................37............39....
Moncton...........41............36.....
One more thing - Rocket is now really over .500, if you count those silly points for losing as losses, which of course they are.
Rocket hadn't been over .500 since last spring.
On a roll, I'd say.

Actually This Rocket team Can play very Well as a team If they want to The Question is Do they. We seen a lot of shitty games But then we seen some games where the Rocket Totally out played the other team Take Cb for example top team in the league and we beat them 3-4 times this season The boys can play and win but its up to them if they want to or not. playing the underestimated card . Not playing no card its the truth. we the fans did not base the team in the top 5 CHL teams. We the Fans did not overestimate our team The media did not us. I am not sayin the team is going to make this huge statement and like win a lot of there games in the 2nd half and then go on to the finals alls i am saying is that the team is really underestimated They beat some of the top teams in the league not only once. Imo the team is underestimated Cause they can play good hockey when they try.

It's a given that as of the time of my post (which is all I can control) we have stood pat and it's a given that every year for the past 3 trade periods we have not traded up or traded down significantly and have not won a playoff round It's also a given I said "APPARENT DECISION".. which is the way everything looks thus far

But the team is 9-3 in its last 12 games, moving up in the standings, playing over .500 for the first time in almost a year, and really, I see no need to unload anybody right now. We do, however, need a couple of 18-year-olds, else the only two 19-year-olds we'll have next year will be Gélinas and McKinley, and that's not good. We'll have plenty of 18-year-olds next year, for sure.

We'll have plenty of 18-year-olds next year, for sure. We were over .500 last year Last years first half team was the strongest team we've had since year one Next years team looks very dubious right now unless we find a free agent piepline somewhere .. highly unlikely We have the mother of all drafts .. highly unlikely We make a boatload of trades sometime after the season.... very expensive It's why I keep saying standing pat is the worst move we can make.... and yet people keep chastizing me for suggesting so We lose right now for sure Gallant, Morrison, Walker, Latal, Paynter We can only keep 3 of Lessard, LaFleur, Gervais, Main, Lachaine, Locke Where the hell are we going to fill those holes in? There is some good prospects coming up especially in goal.... in Mosher and Waye.. but we must deal one of LaFleur or Gelinas to open a spot I know fans like to get caught in the hear and now but this is an issue that really needs to be addressed.... waiting out the year in hopes of a 2 round playoff appearance and then dealing with the problem makes no sense, especially considering what the prices paid for players have been thus far this trade period anyways it's out of our control... but it's still damned frustrating for me if we aren't selling I'd rather trade some of the kids and add.. if we're gonna be a sub .500 team in all likelyhood next year anyhow.. at least give us the most entertaining squad for this year you can
