Terrific shot by Doyle.
Trick to shootouts is letting players do what they do best - Walker deked the goalie out of his pads, got him to open up, and put the puck in the middle.
Doyle shot, as he should have - last year, he was trying to get fancy on shootouts, and it wasn't working.
But wow, how about two wins on the road in the 2nd and 3rd games of a very busy weekend?
Two very unexpected wins, and the one today, after the way the Rocket was totally dominated in the 3rd period, was very impressive.
More impressive, two wins using a goalie that most everyone had given up on.
Whatever possessed Guy to use Lafleur two nights in a row on the road?
Good decision, obviously...I really don't think the Rocket would have won two games without Lafleur between the pipes.
WAY TO GO!

Another nice win to see by the boys. It looks good to see that Lafleur is back in shape with the team.
Looks like we've had CB's number this year, 4-1 against them this season.

Thank Lafleur for that win, he kept them in the game in the 3rd period when Cape Breton was all over them. I don't know how to explain that third period. We spent almost the whole thing in your guys' zone, yet I don't think it's right to say we were all over you. Eagles were kept almost completely to the outside, while the Rocket seemed content to ice it whenever they got possession. It was honestly painful to watch. It almost worked, as we weren't even coming close to scoring.......... and Then bang the tying goal came out of absolutely nowhere. After spending a totally fruitless period camped out in the Rocket zone, we get hemmed up in our end for about 45 seconds........ finally get out with about 20 secs left.......... take a rush up the ice and score. I don't think many in the rink saw it coming. Don't let the shots on goal fool you- the Eagles dominated nothing today. We were lucky to get a point. Lafleur was very good though, and deserved a star more than he did last night IMO........... yet didn't get one. Odd.
