I spoke to an agent who said that there is little to no chance that any of PEI's big guys are going anywhere.....maybe just some minor tweaks.

but most teams making blockbuster transactions do try and deal outside of the division History doesn't really back that up. Most teams in a sell mode, sell to the highest bidder. If there are two identical offers, and one of the teams is in the division then yeah, you get the player as far away as possible. Some teams will put provisions on trades, that if they trade Player A, to Team B, Team B can't turn around and deal player A back into their division, unless they provide compensation. Lewy/Shaw had a clause like this in their deal for Piche last summer. we're obviously not in a sell mode.. we never have been history of the PEI Rocket definitely does back me up.... other than acquiring Boutin from Halifax in year one.. every trade we've made of any significance has been outside the division Walker from Gatineau Mealy from Rouyn Milot from Shawinigan (i think) Stewart from Rimouski Guilbault from Shaw Morrison and Gervais from Gatineau Lessard from Gatineau Guillame Doucet from Rouyn Doesn't matter .. I don't see us moving anyone now as we missed the initial market and unless a new one opens up as Launcher said.. only tweaks are likely |
