Elsewhere in the Q Saturday night, Bathurst shut out the Hull Olympiques 5-0, Spencer Jezegou got a goal, and Mior was pulled early in the 2nd period - don't know if this has happened to him before.
Halifax beat Moncton in a shootout. which took nine rounds; Moncton was held to a total of 13 shots in regulation time.
Moncton got a point for losing, but the Olympiques did not.
St John's beat Saint John 3-2, Quebec beat Chicoutimi.
Chicoutimi got a point for losing, Saint John did not.
The upshot of all this is that both St John's and Bathurst passed the Rocket, dropping the Rocket to 7th place in the east.
So the thrill of the playoff race continues.
Expect to see young Clermont, just turned 16 2 weeks ago, in nets for the Piques tomorrow, rather than Mior.

Hey countsheep, you forgot to mention on Friday night around the Q that Mior registered his 19th win - one win fewer than the entire Rocket year and on a depleted Olympiques' team full of injuries I may add. Has his happened to Mior before? You betcha and it happened to your goalies alot more than Mior this year.
PS. I'm sure Mior will start tomorrow. Blow him a kiss from the stands !

Maybe he'll get pulled today, just for old times' sake. Mulling over whether to go to the game or watch Bucs and Giants on TV. Having seen the box office lineup on Thursday, the decision becomes easier.

Gatineau will be without:
Carrier (knee); Mallette (shoulder); Giroux; Stinziznin (shoulder); Joey Ryan (charlie horse).
They just got Pistilli and Byron back after XMas.
The Piques are prime for the picking right now so here's your chance because when everyone gets back, we'll be very tough to beat.........even with Mior in goal.
Look at the stats guys and see how many starting goaltenders have been pulled this year. Don't forget to look at Lafleur's stats Mr. countsheep.

How would one tell "how many starting goaltenders have been pulled this year" by "looking at the stats"? Is that a new stat, or were you just not thinking when you wrote that? Oh, and Lafleur has been pulled twice.

And just as often as Bois changes his underwear ... Countsheep has deleted his account and will pop back in after a few weeks absence under another obscure name.
