Lots of options now.. logjammed up front and on D
I don't wanna just release Gomes without seeing what he can do first
I actually wouldn't be opposed to optioning Deighan back to the Caps for the balance of this season

With Mo gone do you see the Rocket picking up another 20 year old for the rest of the season?

I still say why bother having Gomes as our 6th or 7th defensemen. Malouin can do the job now and let's continue to develop Deighan for next season.
As well I am all for bringing up Casavant but only if the Rocket intend to dress him and play him for at least 15 of the final 30 games. But if this happens it limits CoonCome & DesRoches ice time.
Which brings me to Locke. Given the direction this team is taking I was kind of disappointed that Locke wasn't able to be moved to give him an opportunity with another team and also allow more playing time for CoonCome/DesRoches. Don't get me wrong I like Locke but I feel him getting moved would have been the best thing for both him and the Rocket.

Can we still pick up a 20 year old after the deadline?

The Rocket are not completely giving up on this season
They aren't gonna play all these kids ahead of the vets
One or two of the kids really should be returned to junior A and with two junior teams here.. why not assign Deighan and DesRoched there for the balance of the season
Locke could very well finally get his shot on a scoring line now which could make him more valuable to deal at the draft

I'd let Casavant in the AAA unless he plays on the top 2 lines.
In Quebec, to prepare our next year, we bring 2 16yo and both play on our first 2 lines.
Trudeau plays with Esposito and Tessier Gilbert plays with Petit and Stefanovich
Kids should be given ice time if you rebuild.
I saw Casavant play this year and he needs to work on his skating, hope for you he can improoves it

Lots of soft boiled eggs have played major junior I don't care if he's a glass pillowcase.. what do we have to lose?

As mentioned, it would be a chance taken...but woud cost them nothing. No harm at all.
