Got the split but man it would've been nice coming back 2-0 to the nest.

Heck of an effort from the Eagles.
Turcotte pretty much stole this game for the Sea Dogs. Great effort by him on that overtime chance by Fiore.
As for the Eagles, you can't ask for a much better team effort on the road. Saint John is a good team and they gave them everything they could handle. The goal is always to come out with a split and hey they almost took 2.
Centre 200 should be rocking for games 3 & 4.

Got the split but man it would've been nice coming back 2-0 to the nest. The split is great but they only got themselves to Blame for not going back 2-0. SJ dominated the first but after that we had so many chances. In overtime fiore got robbed and geno had the top half of the net open and shot it into Turcotte. How many posts did we hit tonight ? A lot of good signs. Loved bissons game. Macintyre was strong. Carozza was giving 110%. At times geno looks like a man among boys, other times he looks lost. 1-1 going home is more than fine!

Seems like Turcotte thrives when he has to make a lot of high quality saves, as weird as that sounds... he makes highlight reel saves but struggles with basic shots? if that makes sense... i dunno

Turcotte is one of the better goalies I've seen at making emergency saves...

[ not happy about loss but must say they did play prtty decent but what bothers me is when the clock get to the last few minutes we can't buckle down and get it done 10 seconds left in first we give up a goal the six minutes left we loose the lead and on both valano goals we left him alone in front of the net the effort was there but dummont had 3 years with these guys and there D zone coverage is no better now then it was on day one

Good effort to come back from 2-0
Could of, would have , should have but we're going back to the best with the split and we're par for the course.
Looking forward to Monday at C200.

very interesting game, we come home with the split, its now a best 3 of 5 and we have home ice advantage. Give the Seaogs full marks, they came out flying in the 1st period, good pushback from Game 1. After that, the game was pretty even. Both goaltenders made some big saves at key times,Veleno came up big for the Dogs. On our side, the big guys played well as usual. On the negative side, Leveille played horrid again, he was responsible for the 1st and 3rd goals against with soft defensive coverage.I don't know what happens to the mental side of his game at times, but for a big, strong 19 year old looking for a pro contract, he sures leaves me scratching my head.See you Monday at Center 200,Go Eagles Go.

Leveille has all the skills but the mental part may be from a"lack of maturity" which he has demonstrated both on and off the ice .

When the checking gets tight in the playoffs, Svechnikov basically stops scoring goals completely, his style isn't really suited for high intensity games or he's having some very bad luck.
From an 18% shooter in the regular season to a ridiculously low 5% in the playoffs and just 3 goals in 15 playoff games.

A play that comes to mind last night was the short-handed 2 on 1 where the puck went through Turcotte and out the other side. Most nights thats through the goalie and in the net. He also has had breakway's in which he's been stopped. It's not like he's been invisible, the puck just isn't going in for him.
