It's the fact it was a lottery pick that makes me angry. Leblanc was certainly worth it, but having Veleno would've been nice, The idea behind having those 1st rounders was to use them to win last year and this year. We ended up trading the best pick..to be fair while having no idea where it would be....and picked Bowers and Hoyt. Leblanc was a great addition but the true error was the Bowers situation and having nothing to show for that asset in games like tonights and Sundays. Max Comtois would've been nice to take with that pick, but shit happens..

Dumont was having a second chance at his job by only.trading a little with a high reward if they won they should have beating st john with this team in 6 games but they didn't and Gave up like.cowards but they only go as far the coach and everyone new thus team never had a solid chance with dumont

I said this in the game 7 thread but feel like it belongs in this one. On Eastlink in the post game commentary they made some great points. Cape Breton needed a top Defenceman and a goaltender to take over or at least push Belanger. They mentioned Guindon from Rimouski and Brassard from Halifax (who I would have loved in CB!), move a few picks or some prospects. Also move Bowers for a top D man, why hold on to him and pick up a compensation pick and 2nd round exit when we could grab something to help us this year?! Why a team didn't get Brassard from Halifax at Christmas time still confuses me and CB seemed like the obvious destination.

Somebody mentioned that they heard Cavan Fitzgerald's name linked to Cape Breton. Why not package Bowers (who would report to Halifax), a couple of picks (which Halifax wanted anyway), and maybe a few prospects together and pick up Brassard, Fitzgerald, and maybe something else (Moynihan)? Maybe add Belanger in that deal or move him for something to add to a deal with Halifax? I honestly think Brassard would be an upgrade over Belanger. But its easier said then done, maybe Bowers has no interest in the Q or Halifax wanted to much? Lots of questions are being asked right now though that's for sure!

Serious question, does anyone know if there's anywhere to send a formal complaint to the ownership board? Drop it off at Island Beverages ( Andre Cote ) , Rudderham's Sports ( Arnie Rudderham ) or MacLeod Lorway Insurance( Stewart MacLeod ) or all 3 . I am guessing here but you could also drop it off at the Eagles Office . * Specify that you would like it read at the next Board Meeting .

I don't think CB has ever really undertaken a search for a Coach since Pascal Vincent left. They always just hand the reins to an assistant ... the easy way out.

But he was of the Roux/Choules recycled Q coach mold. Hiring a top assistant from a solid team with a winning culture or a top coach from the midget ranks with an experienced GM over either would be the best case scenario for me.

I was shocked last night that you guys were playing a 1-2-2 trap down 5-2 with like 4 or 5 minutes left. Crazy stuff.

I think they make take it and fire it in garbage, read and file it whatever but i am missing the harm then good? Do you mean they may keep him (Dumont)?

No. I am saying 1 letter with misinformation coming from the "fans" can harm any attempt to get through to people who are dealing in business decisions and not emotional decisions. We have no idea about how the owners think or what the expectations were that they had. Trying to get a message through to people when you don't know their agenda and don't have all the same information they do(financial and personal) can be difficult and if not done properly really not help the cause any.
