Tell us how you really feel! Rocket were one of the winners during this trade period. Some fans may not understand that.

Of course it's about building for the future. I'm a dedicated fan as well and I'd be a hell of a lot more upset if they had stood pat in hopes that they "could surprise some teams". Junior hockey is a cyclical business, people need to realize this.

Next year and the year after look soo much better today than they did yesterday.
We got younger and acquired young talent for Guy to develop and if these players work out as expected, it should make us a lot better team over the next 2-3 years..

The Rocket made out awesome! IMO ;D
Yeah maybe they might win a series shit maybe even 2 of em but at the end of the day next year they would be in big time trouble and we all know they likely were not going to beat the top teams in the league it's the nature of the beast in Jr hockey.
I think long term alot of fans will be very happy with these deals to the average fan this may seem wrong but to the people who follow the Q and understand how the process works PEI made out very well!!! ;D

same crap 2 or 3 years! Well the sea dogs have only been here for 3 years and where are they? and yes MJ hockey is a cycle of young talent but every year us who pay full season passes keep seeing a useless second half. Maybe they should rebuild their season ticket prices to reflect the rebuilding team. Nothing against the new talent coming in so lets just see what happens.

Exactly how many games have the Rocket played since the deadline ended, that would enable you to know this? I, for one, am glad they moved some of their assets, and got some good return in exchange.

Maybe they should rebuild their season ticket prices to reflect the rebuilding team. Nothing against the new talent coming in so lets just see what happens. 1) It isn't anything like what we did the last 2 or 3 years. We both added and subtracted the last couple of years and didn't really have any plan to speak of from what I could tell. Definitely did not sell like this year. 2)Saint John had the added advantage of 3 straight 1st overall picks, as well as finding a gem of a FA in Didomenico. 3)How was last year's second half useless? We were one of the top teams in the East in the second half last year, if you'll remember. There is way too much wrong with that post...

I'm well aware of how the league works thank you. When do we cycle to the top of the division? We did this last year for this year to be better and did that work? anyway, lets evaluate later.....outta here!

what was wrong? we got knocked out in the first round AGAIN. So why did they bring in Morrison last year other then to get better for this year only to then trade him away again. And Gervais as well. Thats the C and both A's gone. I think it sends a strong message about this years season.

Thats the C and both A's gone. I think it sends a strong message about this years season. Don't you see though? Since it's become obvious that Brett wasn't going to be enough to push us over the top this year then it was time to maximize our return for him. We traded for Morrison in hopes of getting better this year but since it wasn't to be then it's time to think about the future. Why keep him for maybe one extra playoff round when you could help build a team that could win 2 or 3 playoff rounds at least for the next couple of seasons? Seems like an obvious decision to me.

As much as I hate and I do mean HATE to see Lessard and Morrison go, I know in the long run it is better for us. I mean Morrison was only gonna be here a couple more months and then he would have been gone so it was good to get something for him instead of losing him anyway

this was the first trade period we did anything right
other years it was two steps forward seven steps back
this year i was happy with just one step forward.... instead we made it 3 steps and a polevault forward
the reactions of fans like hitman is what i think the Rocket have feared in every other trade period
we got a full year of Morrison.... and then turned him into a solid dman and a young scoring wizard.. not to mention possibly a solid player to come at the draft
it was the right thing to do.. i just can't believe we actually did it

It's just too bad that the Rocket didn't make these types of moves a few years ago. I guess that's the difference a guy like Chouinard makes.

I think the Rocket have done very well in this trade period hats of to Serge and Chouinard. The next big thing will be as this season looks like a wash how do you draw fans to the game this year and next year (talking in the local paper not going to work) I think the Savard family have to look at spending some money to make the gametime more interesting. The onice product will be fair this year so find a way to make the time at the rink FUN.
