Did anyone watch any Cape Breton West games this year? If so how did Colten Ellis (goalie) look? I've heard good things about him but haven't seen him play in a few seasons

Anyone think that Rodrigue might still be around at 9? Would it be worth to package maybe 9 and 12 for a shot at him. Watched him in the challenge games last week and he looks like a high end goalie right from the start. Doubtful, I see Rodrigue gone in the top 5, even with Bowers back in the picture. Lots of other good goaltenders available this year tho.

Dumont didn't seem to mind trading up for Bell, and look how that went. Maybe he can make a trade up this year? If Dumont is even running this team by then. I have no clue whats going on at this point.
Edit: Or is there some sort of rule that a team can't trade its compensation pick?

I see you guys drafting a Dman with your first pick. Probably a philosophical change about to happen. Your team was exciting this year but lack of D was your undoing.
Time for change is now considering you guys are rebuilding. Watching 2 young teams grow with the Eagles and Moose should be very entertaining !

They split the season fairly even Denny playing 22 games and Ellis 18. Their numbers are far different with Denny having the better but who knows, maybe Ellis played against better teams. I had heard Ellis has more potential out of the two. Denny playing against tradesmen is something I heard he asked for, he had something to prove to them after they cut him.

We have picks to jump start it no matter who is back. We could have 3 1st rounders without trading any roster players if we choose to do so. You can have 2 but there is no way you get Chicoutimis first for Comp of the whole Ranger thingy. It was the 19th pick overall the league won't give you guys the 9th pick for that slash 10th if you drop Bowers. Your looking more around there 2nd round pick. It's crazy to think other wise. Since this poster is adamant about using this post as some sort of dick measuring contest about how he's right more then myself and others due to being a sideline stats man at for Halifax Moosehead games I thought I would quote this post for context. Clearly this poster, based on his own words in this posts, felt that the league was somehow responsible for dishing out compensation that both teams had agreed to. This post, in my opinion, is clearly statsman saying the league would give CB a 2nd and not a 1st. Of course everyone already knows that the compensation was 3 items laid out by the teams with similar value and that the compensation CB received was 2 2nd round picks which was 1 of the options. And none of them were given to us by the league for "the Ranger thingy". As this poster continues to flood my personal messages with garbage like bringing up this post as some sort of personal shot at myself for taking him to task over his classless garbage post towards one of our posters earlier this week I thought i'd bring this up again as I can't help but find it hilarious that he posted this, never edited it, yet continues to use it as some sort of "i'm always right and you never are and posts like this are why" post. CBSE fans talking aloud about our compensation items only to have an outsider come in with his own dose of reality is fine except for in this instance where the poster clearly doesn't understand the terms of the compensation or where we were sourcing out information from. If this same poster took half the time to research his ill informed points before posting them for all to see then he wouldn't have half the issues he does on these boards. I'm all for private messages and sharing info and having conversations that shouldn't be on the boards. But i'm not letting some arsehole with a big head due to his "position" within a QMJHL rink spam my inbox with his fucking nonsense and childishness due to taking an internet message board clearly way too seriously. Especially when veteran posters have seen him be wrong more then he's right on factual matters and casual fans who attend 5-10 games per year offer more inside information and legitimate insight into their teams then someone who apparently gets paid to watch the games. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.
