I would say that large sections are of the population feel that their concerns have been ignored and are sick and tired of being mocked. Large sections are morons who look to biased and conspiracy "news sources" who twist facts and report half truths...They used to be the National Enquirer and World Weekly news at the grocery store checkout stand. Now thanks to the internet they have a wider nut job lowbrow audience that frequently use terms like snow flake...fake news...and sheep. Usually without a verifiable fact to back up their point of view. Trump is going to drain the swamp? Trump is the swamp! Seriously there is no more old school establishment man in the world than Trump. Look no further than all the golf trips, his cabinet's expensive chartered flights and his family using the White House to pad their businesses with "access to the president". That's not even bringing up their tax reform that basically gives trump and his buddies huge tax cuts while the middle class saves pennies if they are lucky.

First of all I do not listen to Alex Jones nor would I even out of curiosity- conspiracy theories about the Sandy Hook massacre and 9/11 do not interest me at all; CNN should be embarrassed to have Van Jones who is a 9/11 truther on their staff but I suppose his political beliefs and ethnicity give him a pass. The media outlets you list off are all full of left wing snowflakes who hate Trump so much they will print or say anything without vetting it - they are being exposed for what they are, the most hateful hypocritical people out there. The GOP senators against Trump are establishment types who are a huge part of swamp which needs to be exposed. Megan Kelly is gone from Fox News and a complete failure so far on NBC by the looks of it - good riddance, she was out for herself and she deserved what she got with the way she handled herself in that first debate with Trump. I have seen the way the media conducts itself, it is a product of journalism professors being 60s hippies teaching their students which are mostly leftist snowflake types - look at the compete pass that Obama got in his first election campaign and how Trudeau was left off the hook in his. They have a bias which they cannot hide anymore. What did van Jones say about 9/11? First I hear of that, hopefully your facts are better than conspiracy websites. If anybody are snowfalkes they are the wingnuts that Fox news passes off as reporters. Trump goes on there every month and they keep throwing him softball questions and fail to offer any kind of journalism. CNN is definitely not left wing, they had a bundle of Trump believers and covered him religiously. giving him millions in free publicity. They have GOP people on 3-4 timers a day...how often do you see Democrats on Fox? You don't because Trump and Murdock are in each other's pocket...starts and ends there... He says he didn't sign a petition by 911truth.org but it was enough for him to resign off his job with the Obama administration. You have no idea what snowflake means do you? The main reason you don't see that many Democrats on Fox News is because they will actually be given tough questions - Hillary was a complete chickenshit to go on Fox while Trump went on CNN all the time, I have no idea how much he went on MSNBC. They do have people on Fox with leftist viewpoints and more importantly, independent viewpoints, maybe Hillary may have won some more votes as the number of independent as a % of voters in the U.S. is growing the fastest.

The fact that Trump is pandering to far right voters and news sites should be a big red flag. He isn't the president of all citizens, only those with white skin and mostly men... In terms of snowflake, the one person on the planet that represents the urban definition of it is Trump. If anybody disagrees with him, they get his wrath on 6am drunken twitter rants. Trudeau is trying to lessen the burden on the middle class while Trump is trying to cut taxes to big business and put a bigger burden on his middle class. All the money lost from these lost tax dollars will come from the average joe, not from people like him or his buddy Rupert Murdock. Tax reform like everything else Trump puts in place is to help his bottom line personally...

I wish he would lay off with the attack tweets a bit; I say that someone who supports what he wants to do with the economy of the U.S. as what is good for them is good for Canada. What "Trump dossier" are you talking about? I don't pretend to know Trump personally, I just know what I see and hear from him, his late night/early morning tweets scream of drunk-ness, if he isn't drunk, that makes it even worse that he looks to be gravely mentally ill. You're the guy defending him constantly, how do you know he doesn't drink all the time? Unless you follow him 24/7 you have no clue. He definitely sounds drunk on at least half his tweets... Trump hiring somebody who pushed a bill limiting the regulations on drug companies and helping make the opioid epidemic happen is up there with a global warming denier in charge of the EPA and Devos as head of education...full blown wingnut administration! MSNBC and CNN are not "left wing" both are mainstream news media. Fox is right in large part because Rupert and Trump are good buddies. The other 24/7 news channels are mainstream. CNN has GOP people and supporters on multiple times a day. Any channel that had Jeff Lord on 3 times a day is not "left wing". Fox doesn't have enough viewership to have anything but GOP supporters and they pander to that crowd, which is in the minority. What Trump has done since the election, makes it a 100% certainty he has no chance to win another election. Those folks that give him a chance because he was an "outsider" clearly don't support him any more if you look at his 32-35% approval rating for somebody who was just elected. His base won't get him him anywhere close to winning an election.

So let me get this straight, you, the guy defending Trump daily when he changes his mind from morning to afternoon based on how the media covers something want to criticize Trudeau and co for altering their tax plan? Nobody has called business owners tax cheats, there are loopholes that need to be closed so that those business owners making hundreds of thousands don't get off scot free while you and I pay our share...pretty simple concept...but you chose to follow right wing propaganda in two countries.

What a clusterfuck of an embarrassment this thread has evolved into.
A pro-Con arguing about promises from the early 90's as some sort of anti-Liberal bashing and a pro-Liberal refusing to acknowledge the clear lack of understand his Liberal PM has for the people of his own country based on his economic and taxation policies which he has had to back peddle on at least 2 or 3 times in the past few weeks alone.
What the anti-Trump crowd will never get: Trump's success isn't from his words. It's by changing things and putting people in pockets of his country back to work in areas where people were desperate enough for jobs to vote for an extreme candidate. Something people on the East Coast of Canada would absolutely love their own chance to do, ironically enough.
What the pro-Trump crowd will never get: Setting a nation, race, or group of people back decades of centuries of economic or environmental policy in the name of "right here right now" is not what any world leader should be about and the greater good of the human race should trump any 1 American dream. Getting votes from the coal miner you're putting back to work due to the environmental policies you think can be ignored is only going to cause more harm to his family, town, state, country, continent, and planet in the long term.
Both guys have made colossal fuck ups despite being nowhere near each other on the political spectrum.
Both have also done some good for those who elected them based on election promises.
But it's hard to ignore that the change in both countries either politically, culturally, economically, or otherwise have not all been positives and there is a huge divide growing in the south that is spreading north mainly due to the media and how they present things in such a sensational and dramatic way with little effort put into real journalism which is left to the far right/left sources to fill in the blanks based on what you want to hear....which is the point of all of this....at the end of all the rhetoric and in this case 79 pages of talk....the people going back and forth the most....still really only hear what they want to hear.

With Trump, as flawed as his political views are, it's not even about that. Trump is completely unfit to lead a country, let alone one of the biggest/most powerful in the world. Pandering to racist groups is not about political views, it's about basic decency. Not responding to a hurricane in Puerto Rico and getting in a twitter battle with the mayor of San Juan...most presidents would have never let it get to that point...again racial undertones... Why won't he release his tax returns like all other presidential candidates? Huge red flag. Why won't he ever say anything negative about a guy that kills or jails media and political opponents in Putin? Repulsive. You can't be president of the US and flip out the minute anybody says anything remotely negative about you...embarrassing. The president of the US should not be somebody who bragged about sexually assaulting women and has multiple accusers and lawsuits pending. The president of the US should not be somebody who in business would shaft contractors and forced many of them into bankruptcy as a result. The president of the US should not be somebody who lies on a continuous basis about things which can be easily proven false. The president of the US should not be somebody that tries to silence the media...the US is not and should not be Russia or North Korea. every president in US history have not always liked what the media said about it, but they have never called them "fake news" or threatened to revoke licenses(which is not really a thing).

The fact that you're still going on about tax returns says enough to me. Just avoid the American politics...there's dozens of unfit world leaders.
Sadly if Americans want to elect a racist old white man president that is their right. It's not about decency or racial tension. That's a part of it, but far from all of it.
If you were a poor minority and voting for Trump meant more factory and labor jobs for your city/town/state are you saying you're voting for the other guy?
Every President lies. Has shafted someone in a business or political negotiation. Has had a joke taken the wrong way by the other side.
But on results to his people in terms of economic activity Trump is on the verge of delivering easily enough to secure a 2nd term.
Trump doesn't silence the media on Puerto Rico or other matters they just move on to the news of the day. I blame the entire American media for that disaster as it's their jobs to tell people why they can't just move on from it but they have.
Just like the mass shooting that left 58 people dead. Already moved on from it. They have no national conscience as a collective 300 million people so it's no wonder their President doesn't.
