I somewhat remember the Dagenais trade, it was definitely not for Beck...Beck came from RN, Dagenais went to Laval for Lortie and I think a 1st rounder... Dagenais went to RN to give them a huge line with Ribeiro and Tremblay .. Lortie was traded for J.-S. Aubin. www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=29526Dagenais went to Laval first, then they traded him to RN late in the year...

Good or bad? That was pretty expensive, I think they send Vigneault Murovic Laliberte and possibly Ferland... That was a great trade...two NHL calibre d that ran the PP and PK for those plugs...awesome deal for the Cats They got a half season of those two, the players they gave up formed most of the Bathurst team the year after. Plus Ferland and McLean were only 17 and high draft picks. www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/leagues/seasons/teams/0016992001.htmlHere is what they got... Laliberte(20) Vigneault(20) Murovic(18) Ferland(17) McLean(17) and Lajeunesse(19) Both teams made out well, The Cats were left with a very tough rebuild after all those players leaving as futures...

Definitely not the worst but I didn't like the deals in 14-15: Lalonde for a 2nd and a 3rd and Tkatchev for Burke a 7th and 8th Lalonde was a 40 goal scorer and Tkatchev was one of the most skilled guys in the league (I understand may have been some attitude issues) Just seems like other GM's would have got much more in return because these where recent memory trades i think you have to look at trades and where the team is when the trade is made. who you are trading and why you brought them in....sometimes a player is moved out because he just isnt gelling with the rest of the group. i think both lalonde and Tkatchev had some team issues the lalonde trade could of paid off with that second and 3 in 2016 i think burke was brought in for leadership and added a two way player who could kill penalties and win faceoffs also lalonde did put up big numbers in Shaw after the trade tkatchev 33pts in 33g plus 10 burke 28 pts in 35 g plus 11 (record before trade 18-12 after 28-7) so i guess im saying some trades make the team better although you may not get the same production so look at the final team product

Great trip down memory lane ... to add a few that I remember, one that didn't really work out for us was Tomy Joly - never really got comfortable with the Cats, his production tailed off from what it was in Bathurst. One that did was Josh Tordjman, although the price was high, he gave us great goaltending that resulted in our first President's Cup, and oh so close to the Memorial Cup.

One of the best deals getting Philippe Dupuis for a second round pick.

One of the best deals getting Philippe Dupuis for a second round pick. Didn't somebody go there as futures? I remember Chabot going to Gatineau for Yandle's right but can't recall on Dupuis...

I thought we got the trade no returns, but he was suppose to play AHL. Then he got concussed early in AHL tryouts and got cut. We got him seemingly for a song but we were just lucky. I could be wrong.

Wasn't it Dupuis who scored on his first shift with the Cats? Set the place on fire.
