Barring a playoff match-up this will be the final visit to the Moncton Coliseum for the Mooseheads. This was their first visit: theqmjhl.ca/gamecentre/15214/boxscoreI recall their being a fan bus from Halifax which was seated directly behind the Alpines bench which led to an incident later in the game. I wasn't close enough to see it all clearly and someone can definitely correct me, but I believe a Halifax fan poured beer on Alpines coach Lucien Deblois which led to that fans ejection from the building. Legend has it that the fan bus had to stop at the police station to pick him up on the way home. Good times. Some better memories from Coliseum games against Halifax would be the final regular season game in 2000 when the Cats clinched the Maritime Division and the Game 7 win in 2015. Also just the general atmosphere whenever Halifax visited the first couple seasons of the Wildcats was fun. There was always a big crowd and it felt like a huge event. Not Q related but this was also fun - Any other good stories/memories from Moncton/Halifax showdowns at the Coliseum?

Couldn't even get Grametbauer a shut-out.
What a crap performance. WORST TEAM IN WILDCATS HISTORY.

Great game by the cats, but who wants to tip their hats to yet another stellar Q refereeing performance. I mean do we enforce penalties based on potential draft status or is it just guess and hope for the best. Sylvestre gets a 5 min major for check to the head and these Are the screen captures... see any head in there, he just levelled him Then Durandeau cross checks Fox in the head and that is worth a 2 min minor. Is it because one is league star and one is a JR A player It’s a god damn joke. Call the game Langille and RobichUd. You could see the Moose we’re frustrated, they called some 10 min misconducts to try and mitigate the situation but the continuous weak third period calls on the cats were just terrible considering what was going on in this game.... Damn can’t paste stills in here. Ok then see highlight recap and freeze at 2:33-2:34 for Sylvestre “major” and 2:41 ish for “Minor” moncton-wildcats.com/video/st-hubert-highlights-february-2nd-2018

maybe its the homer in me, but Sylvestre is much taller than Zadina, Zadina had his head down, not much of a penalty at all in my eyes....But i can't believe Durandeau didnt get a 5 minute major for kneeing Fox...that one merits a suspension in my eyes...

Is this tournament during the season? Yes. February 13-17. So he’ll likely miss a game which isn’t too bad. It’ll be a good experience for him.

I wouldn’t imagine that CHL teams are obligated to release any players for this event. Hard to imagine Barrie would be ok with this considering they’re fighting for first place in their division.
As for Khovanov I’m not sure that a guy still trying to get his legs under him is going to benefit from playing four games in four days.
Seems odd.

Tough break. On the league website they list it as a 1 game suspension for checking to the head. Even though it wasn’t a check to the head whatsoever from any angle that I’ve seen. Meanwhile a cross check to the head gets a grand total of zero games. Comical but sadly not surprising at all.

Zadina= star Fox= 19 year old 4th liner It’s even more surprising since isn’t zadina supposed to play tonight anyways?
