Well tonight's loss was not so good for playoff standings, but could be good for draft pick purposes. Yeah....for Val d'Or....

Drover now has 4 goals and 3 assists in 2 games.
Stairs has 8 goals and 7 assists in 11 games.
Pretty good stats for 16 year olds in the MHL.

Talent not a chance They’re playing with guys who were all good midget AAA players and are likely at least two years older than them in most circumstances. Not many 16 year olds are doing as well as these guys.

Don't look now but the Armada are in 15th place. It would be nice to get into that lottery pick and get 1st overall. We can only hope! From all Reports Joshua Roy is supposed to be a very good one.

I'm not sure if he is rated that good but I heard he is on the Lafreniere level.

I'm not sure if he is rated that good but I heard he is on the Lafreniere level. If they don't pick 1st overall I could see SJ taking Peter Reynolds from Fredericton. There are a couple highly regarded defenceman, Whynot and Nause in the mix as well but I can't see SJ wanting to add another defenceman unless they are by far the best player available.
Next week will be a big week for your the BBA draft pick. Blaineville plays all three other cellar dwelling teams Bathurst, Shawinagan, and SJ.
I also wonder for the draft if SJ try's to move up at all this draft coming as they have 2 2nd round picks this year and 5 1st rounder's the next two seasons following.

From what I gathered its Josh Roy consensus #1 is quite ahead of the pack skill wise. Then #2 would probably be Peter Reynolds (based on skill). Though I think he may drop lower because I dont see Quebec teams risking it because he probably won't commit. I see sort of a Josh Lawrence thing probably going to happen. He will fall to an a Maritime team that will probably sway him to come home.

If you're guess right, then we'd have pretty good odds at getting one of those players, with Reynolds being the more likely of the 2. That of course is assuming that none of the other lottery picks trade their pick away to a Maritime team.
