So with the 1st pick in the 2015 draft the Sea Dogs had a deal to pick Shane Bowers. Then Joe Veleno gets exceptional player status and they take Veleno instead. Then after drafting Bowers the next year, apparently both players (or at least their rights) eventually get traded to Drummondville, the team who the 2015 1st overall pick originally belonged to.

It doesn't hurt that Shane Bower's agent is Drummondville native Andre Ruel

Looking at his numbers they haven’t been very good in the USHL or Boston College. If he is reporting I wonder who the 20 year old leaving will be. Maybe we are keeping D’Orio now and will move Denisov.

Even if it’s a condition pick, he’s not even good enough to play in the Q as a 20, let alone be worth a 2nd. Terrible trade if for some reason it were to be true.

Could it be part of the Bowers transaction?

If we were going to bring in a 20 year old forward I Would hope it would be someone that is a proven goal scorer. But I don’t like this one especially where it could be for a 2nd round pick. Unless it is part of a bigger deal. I guess we will see how it plays out.

I read somewhere on Twitter that carreau was thought of one of the best prep school players a couple years back . He obviously hasn’t developed but he did play in the world junior A challenge and had a good tournament

If I had to guess, that 2nd conditional we sent them will come back to us for Shane Bowers. If Bowers plays a game, a 1st comes to us at the draft

It looks like the 2nd in 2019 we sent the Volts was then flipped to the Islanders as part of the Joseph deal.

Good thing I am not good at guessing. This deal is not even close from being over, from what I hear

Looking like the Sea Dogs are doing the Volts a solid to send them the 2019 Rimouski 2nd in order to leverage the Joseph deal.
As mentioned, probably more pieces involved as other deals are worked out.

Definitely doesn't make sense to be trading 2nd round picks for a 20 year old for half of a losing season no matter how good he is. I really hope everyone is correct in assuming there is more to this to come later.

This could be simply Drummondville buying a 2nd round pick they need for another, yet-to-be announced deal they have. The value is so low on what the Sea Dogs received I have to imagine what they'll get is going to worth it.
