This could be simply Drummondville buying a 2nd round pick they need for another, yet-to-be announced deal they have. The value is so low on what the Sea Dogs received I have to imagine what they'll get is going to worth it. 2nd SJ traded them was part of package they gave for PO Joseph. Yah this happened with Halifax and Bathurst re: Ryczek last year. Halifax loaned Bathurst that 1st round pick that Bathurst needed in another deal, with the idea that it would be the down-payment in the Morand deal. Ryczek was just included to make the deal kosher with the league.
Halifax was lucky Ryczek reported. But the player reporting isn't the point of the deal. There will most likely be another part in June.

This pick is a conditional pick of course, and it was basically given to Drummondville as a favor to get that 2nd round pick they needed in order to finish the Joseph trade.

I was just checking out the Sea Dogs roster and see that they have added Casey Carreau to the list. Also one other thing that I noticed was that we now only have six d-men on the roster. I assume they will be looking to add another Defense man before the deadline is over. sjseadogs.com/roster/8/190 |

So who's SJ getting from Drum at the draft? I haven't heard who is coming back. We will need to see how this Bowers trade plays out first. I would love to see one of the good young players that the Volts have but if it works out to be just a 2nd round pick than I cant see us getting Mercer, Desruisseaux, or Simoneau. If there is more to it one of these guys would be great to have. |

Anyone got any further news on the D'Orio trade? Saw Halifax moved their 2020 1st this year. So the trade I thought was happening isn't.
