Does no one want to work for the Wildcats? After initially inidicating they hoped to have a coach in place this week, today's Neil Hodge article indicates that Hepditch will coach the team tomorrow night vs. R-N, and that it is anyone's guess how long he may be in charge. Also adds that Irving has not ruled out Hepditch as next coach, but continues to cast a wide net ... 9 months and counting with an interim GM ... and now an interim coach who looks like he may be around longer than originally thought. We seem to be making it hard on ourselves to hire hockey people ... most teams seem to find qualified candidates without too much difficulty. No one wants to work for RKI

Seems like maybe the word is out on what its like working for a meddling owner in Irving. While I'm sure the position is well paid and comes with lots of perks compared a number of other teams perhaps it's not enough to justify putting up with a micromanager of a boss. Likely why Ritchie prefers to stay on as head scout. Difficult for Irving to meddle in the scouting side of things. This is maybe the wake up call Irving needs...but I'm guessing he has very little self awareness to realize he might be part of the problem.

It is starting to look like DT's problems with his Cabinet....

I had hoped that the long search for a GM and being turned down by multiple potential candidates would be the wake up call. Sadly it sounds like Irving meddled again during the trade period so there was no wake up call to be had. Like you said very little self awareness going on.

The people in these positions have no self awareness because they surround themselves with people who tell them what they want to hear. But they're the first to blame the community for lack of support when things go to shit and fans get fed up. It's extremely frustrating as fans to try and educate yourself on the product and what goes into it yet the more you know and understand the more you see complete ass backwards management and ownership decisions which severely kills your enjoyment of the product.

I always liked Hepditch as a player so I hope he can succeed in his audition as a head coach, both for his benefit and the teams. He is inexperienced but every coach was at one point. The tough thing though is he is taking over during a tough stretch of games. The Cats play their next 10 games against teams with winning records including Halifax(x3) CB(x3) Charlottown(x2) Rouyn, and BC. It would be impressive to somehow go 6-4 during this stretch but given the teams recent success 5-5 should be viewed as a success.

would it really be too much to ask for posters to post in English as per the board rules when they are linking french documents?

would it really be too much to ask for posters to post in English as per the board rules when they are linking french documents? Tweet #1 says job is Torchetti's if he wants it, if not Lacroix is back in the picture. Tweet #2 says sources now telling him the Cats are at the point of finalizing contract details with Torchetti and he will be the next coach.

I have no problem with anybody posting a French tweet, but please post an English translation with it. Good news if Torchetti signs ... really enjoyed the style he had this team play.

I think he was GM last time too, right?
