If we was so unhealthy he wouldn’t be dressing. He also obviously gained all this weight while playing for the Cats. Did they not care before? It sure seems like Rumble either didn't pay attention or didn't care about player's conditioning. It showed when they couldn't put 60 minutes together without tiring compared to other teams they were playing against. This story about Lavallee is a new one to me and just another example of this. I'd imagine Torchetti was using this to change the culture of accountability and Lavallee is an example of this. I still think he should have played a few games even just to rest Leclerc.

Or is Torchetti using rumble as an excuse for his own struggles?

Another pitiful outing for the buying Wildcats and their eight 19-year-olds (who mostly did absolutely nothing) against the selling Islanders. Feel bad for Pelletier. One of the few who looked like he actually cares. The Supreme Leader won’t be happy with this. Massive blow to the chances of finishing 4th. Not that it should matter since this team is so bad at home. For a veteran team, they don't seem to have any leadership. The compete level was awful against a team that traded away 3 of their best players 2 months ago...

A little heavier than you should be and unhealthy are two completely different things. He could have played. just not in the game shape the coaches wanted. I don't see who it benefits to ride one goalie for 2 months and sit another...it hurts both, you wear one out and the other isn't developing. 1-if conditioning was an issue it should have been addressed long before 2-that being said, being overweight doesn't mean he can't play against Bathurst and SJ and get some game action.

This being the reason he hasn’t played is a complete load of crap and sounds like some convenient BS excuse they’ve concocted to leak out to the masses. I didn’t see anyone else on the team sitting out for six weeks. Was everyone else in perfect shape?

No, they were because this is a lazy hockey team. They played lazy from November to January. Then Torchetti came in and they started playing a little harder after awhile. Yesterday was just back to lazy hockey again. I think they figured that they had won 5 in a row so all of their troubles were behind them, and could just coast to a win against a team that never takes a shift off. This team turned lazy when they climbed up the CHL Top 10. Happens every time ... they started reading the newspaper clippings and stopped doing what got them there.

Before yesterday they were basically beating up on weak teams for a week, barely beat Gatineau and beat Bathurst and SJ… Absolutely ... but they were working harder than those teams like they were doing in September and October. We played Saint John twice before Torchetti showed up and got outworked and beat twice in a week. Yesterday they took the day off. I don't mind losing ... as long as the team works hard and shows that they are trying. Yesterday we lost just about every race to a loose puck until the final 5 mins of the 3rd when they decided to play hard. Charlottetown is a hard working team ... they rarely take a shift off. I'm not sure why this team doesn't realize that and get themselves ready to play them. It shouldn't take 55 mins to get up to speed.
