ARE YOU READY FOR A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT? The Saint John Sea Dogs are gearing up for their 15th season and we’re inviting everyone to join us for a big announcement. As our players step on the ice to kick-off Training Camp 2019, we have a new off-ice teammate joining us in Saint John and we need you ready to welcome them on Wednesday, August 14th at 9:00 a.m. in the east end parking lot of Harbour Station. We invite our Season Ticket Members, our partners and members of the media to attend and join us in welcoming this new teammate to the Saint John Sea Dogs family.
The Saint John Sea Dogs have been a staple of hockey in New Brunswick for 15 years and have shared unparalleled success with the community during that time. Three President Cup Championships and a 2011 Memorial Cup have been won by the Port City’s team and brought home to where they belong, right here in Saint John, NB. We’re ready to show you what’s next!
Doors to the event will open at 8:00 a.m. with the announcement taking place at 9:00 a.m.. Light refreshments and snacks will be served. This is a free event.
For additional information please contact Jon Quinn at jon.quinn@saintjohnseadogs.com or by phone at (506) 650-9313.

It wouldn’t shock me if it was to unveil a new name for Harbour station with a corporate partner.

It wouldn’t shock me if it was to unveil a new name for Harbour station with a corporate partner. Wouldn't surprise me either seeing they finally got the naming rights issue handed off to someone actually motivated to find someone to purchase those rights. Say hello to the TD Bank Centre and Frank McKenna.

Say hello to the TD Bank Centre and Frank McKenna. Yeah hopefully you are right. While they are at it maybe they will clean house there and get rid of some of the clowns that have been running that place since it opened.

It wouldn’t shock me if it was to unveil a new name for Harbour station with a corporate partner. Telegraph Journal is reporting it is a naming partner for Harbour Station. “This new sponsor has deep-rooted ties to New Brunswick and growing regional ties.”

A source tells me it is a company that turned down the naming rights on the Moncton Events Center and it has ties to Letterkenny.

Hopefully this is good news to HS and the Sea Dogs. TD is going to start putting a 2 dollar Service fee on all tickets sold.

sjseadogs.com/article/td-and-saint-john-sea-dogs-announce-new-naming-rights-sponsorshipThe Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s (QMJHL) Saint John Sea Dogs are proud to announce a new sponsorship agreement with TD Bank Group. As part of the sponsorship agreement, Harbour Station, the Sea Dogs’ home arena, will be renamed and that announcement will be made at a later date. The five-year sponsorship agreement will begin this year, ahead of the Sea Dogs’ 15th Anniversary Season. As part of the TD commitment to the Sea Dogs and the Saint John community, TD will host minor hockey practices with the Sea Dogs, deploy hockey-based community initiatives and elevate the in-game Sea Dogs experience through music events. The announcement was made today outside Harbour Station as Frank McKenna, Deputy Chair, TD Bank Group, and Sea Dogs owner and CEO, Scott McCain, faced off in a community ball hockey match with local area youth. “TD is committed to supporting and investing in the communities in which we live, work and play, and I’m excited to announce our sponsorship of the Saint John Sea Dogs,” said Frank McKenna, Deputy Chair, TD Bank Group. “We are proud of our growing presence in New Brunswick, and this sponsorship represents an opportunity for TD to engage fans and the community in space where they can connect, participate, and cheer on the home team through signature events.” “This is a monumental day for not only the Saint John Sea Dogs, but the entire city of Saint John and the surrounding area,” said Trevor Georgie, President & General Manager, Saint John Sea Dogs. “A sponsorship from a global financial institution like TD is a massive win for everyone in Saint John. We’re absolutely thrilled about the opportunities the next five years will bring the Saint John Sea Dogs. Thank you to TD for believing in our city.” “Through this exciting naming rights sponsorship, TD has demonstrated its confidence in greater Saint John and the surrounding communities,” said Mike Caddell, General Manager, Harbour Station. “What a great way to mark our 26th year of serving the region.” Since opening in 1993, Harbour Station has been the marquee events space in Southern New Brunswick. The arena has played home to the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL and the Saint John Riptide of the National Basketball League of Canada, and has hosted major concerts and events. TD is the first naming rights sponsor in the building’s history. The sponsorship announcement coincides with the launch of Sea Dogs Training Camp which marks the unofficial start of the 2019-20 hockey season.

I feel the tension in that article.
Sea Dogs side of things: "Great for the city and the team on its 15th anniversary"
Harbour Station/Mike Caddell side of things: "Great for the city and HS on its 26th anniversary."
No mention of each other.
Still some bridges to rebuild in that relationship.

Now that the Sea Dogs have a major bank backing them, we will be able to afford bringing in even more NCAA commits and American born players. Can't wait!
