The Sea Dogs go on the road in Quebec for their last time this season. Coming out with a 2-2 record will be a successful trip - any more is a bonus.
Games against Rimouski, Quebec City, Chicoutimi and Baie-Comeau highlight this 4 games in 5 nights.
Start off in Rimouski against the Alex Lafreniere less team (starts a 3 game suspension tonight) that beat the Dogs 6-1 back in October. Also past captain Nicolas Guay is a game time with a stiff neck. Ben Badalamenti looks to return to the Dogs lineup at some point on the road trip.

If the Dogs want to stay out of the bottom 5 they will need to win at least two of the four games. The difference between #12 (Dogs) and #16 (Halifax ) is only 6 points.
Didn't realise Bendalamenti was out of the line up. Who's gonna sit for him? Savoie? THought all four lines were showing some chemistry. Would be a pity to break that up.

I know they lost Friday against the Islanders but IMO that had to be one of the best overall games they played this past Friday. The offense wasn't clicking and they had a couple of bad breaks but they played hard.
Hopefully they can keep it going.

Well the Rimouski game was a tight 3-2 loss for the Dogs. Bouthillier with 41 saves (No star love in Rimouski) and with 16 in the 1st period when the Dogs only had 2.
ON to play the Rempart tonight. Remparts defeated the Sea Dogs 7-5 in October.

Another close game against a good team. Too bad they were on the wrong side of the result, but it is positive that they can hang with the big boys and limit the goals against. Hope they have more luck tonight.

After scoring 10 last week against Gatineau, the Sea Dogs only have 4 goals in the 3 games since that game.
2 disappointing games so far. Would have been nice to get at least a point last night against Rimouski considering the players out of the lineup, and then this was one I thought they could have won.

Who would have thought the Sea Dogs would pick up their 1st point on this trip in Chicoutimi? They were 3.2 seconds away from the win. Going to OT now without NDP or Gould.

Tell me how anyone could pick Lavoie as first start over Bouthillier! Lavoie had a goal and assist but was also minus 1. Bouthilier faced 49 shots, many from the “home plate” dangerous shot area! He stopped all 3 shootout attempts! Please....

Bouthillier clearly stole that game but every Sea Dogs' goal, including the shootout goal, was scored by a 17 year old.

Hopefully NDP is able to go tomorrow. If not, then maybe we finally get a look at O'Neill.

Boys are coming home with 4 points. Great performances of the goalies in the Rim, Chi and BaC games. Important win against the Drakar and actually pass them in the standings. Too bad about the game against Que, otherwise it could be considered an excellent roadtrip. Still a very good trip.
