So I’ve been doing some research, and since 1988 there have only been 3 teams to have 6 different 30-goal scorers on the roster. With 18 games left in the regular season, the Wildcats could potentially be the 4th. Here’s how it stands today:
Mckenna (29) Cyr (27) Fortier (25) Khovanov (24) Pelletier (24) Groulx (23)
Here is the full list of teams with the accomplishment:
2011-12 Victoriaville 2000-01 Val-d’Or 1995-96 Granby 1987-88 St. Jean 1986-87 Shawinigan 1985-86 Chicoutimi 1983-84 Laval 1982-83 Chicoutimi, Laval 1980-81 Cornwall, Sherbrooke 1979-80 Cornwall, Montreal 1978-79 Trois Rivieres, Sherbrooke, Cornwall 1976-77 Chicoutimi, Trois Rivieres 1975-76 Trois Rivieres, Sherbrooke 1974-75 Sherbrooke, Montreal 1973-74 Sorel, Montreal 1972-73 Quebec, Sorel
Now for the history part. The Cats have 211 goals as of today and are on pace for 287 for the season. If that all aligns, this would make them by far the lowest scoring team to have accomplished the feat (Victo’s 311 total goals in 2011-12 is the lowest). They would also be the ONLY team in league history to do it with under 300 total goals. They could potentially also be the only team to do it without a 40-goal scorer (as of today Mckenna is on pace for exactly 40).
Still lots of games to play but it’s fun to watch. Will they make it?

technically Groulx wouldnt count tho since many of his goals were scored for another team and Fortier. But I don't think that the requirement is that everyone had to play the whole season with that one team?

technically Groulx wouldnt count tho since many of his goals were scored for another team But he would still be a 30 goal scorer. I think we are looking at teams that were more formidable coming playoff time, and whether Groulx or Fortier scored all of their goals here or not, they are still here now and are part of our arsenal. I find that this team still has not quite gelled yet. We are out shooting teams greatly most nights but not often blowing anybody out. We seem to pass one too many times so often instead of taking the shot on an odd-man rush. Maybe this week we'll see a few blow-out wins.

11 days later and Khovanov & Fortier have hit 30
Pelletier needs 2 & Groulx needs 3.
Barring an injury it should be a pretty sure bet at this point.
This might be controversial but given this 16-0-1-0 run I think we can say they've gelled.

QMJHL record for most shutout wins in a season: 11. That record was set by Rouyn-Noranda in 2018-2019.
Moncton currently has 9 this season.
Something else to keep an eye on.

So I’ve been doing some research, and since 2006 Wildcats have not won a game at the Memorial Cup. The streak continues. I see Drakker upset coming.
