Looks like a broken wrist/forearm, his hand was flopping around. Pretty gruesome.

I'm not sure. He sort of threw a half-assed check on the forecheck and then was grabbing at his neck and dropped his gloves and stick and skated straight to the bench. I thought he had been cut by a skate or something but the replay didn't show anything like that. I think he returned before the end of the game. He was wearing a cage the whole game to clearly protect some sort of facial injury so maybe he re-aggravated that. He didn't return and went to the hospital. From the video on RDS, what you saw was him trying to remove his helmet but it is the wrist/forearm that was injured. www.rds.ca/videos/Hockey/LHJMQ/133/lnh-dawson-mercer-se-blesse-au-poignet-et-quitte-le-match-hockey-3.1363109

Pretty bad timing for them as the playoffs are under 4 weeks away.

Pretty bad timing for them as the playoffs are under 4 weeks away. They’ve had a rough time with injuries this year. Don’t they have like 3 or 4 key players out with injuries right now (including Mercer)? Like Kyte, Houde, Lapierre and Mercer, maybe more.

They decided to go for it this year in a stacked contender year when they could have easily tooled their team around next season. They traded Rochette who has been performing as well as anyone since the trade. The injuries have been tough and can't fault management for that, but they really could have set themselves up to be the clear favorites next year if they would have stayed patient.

Weird because it didn't appear to be anything close to a hard impact. I broke my wrist twice, two years in a row, playing hockey on almost identical plays. The cast stayed on for four weeks.

This team barely takes a shift off regardless of score & it's incredible to watch. LaCroix isn't letting these guys get any bad habits heading into the playoffs.

The whole team is contributing. Also, Khovanov is putting up one of the most impressive individual seasons in Cats history. 92 points in 46 games is remarkable. I know he’s drawn some deserved criticism on here but he certainly has been on a tear recently.
