Gavin Watt has been called up for the remainder of the season. That’s a bizarre call when guys like Stewart, Foreman, Langlois are all battling to play one spot each night. I Assume it’s just for the experience? Although he has already played games so he has the experience of being in a major junior game. Will he actually play?

Miranichi didn’t make the playoffs so I’m assuming that’s why. also expect Dow to get called up as well if campbelton is eliminated before the cats which they should be but you never know

With the CHL brass meeting right now, where’s the smart money on their decision? Postpone or cancel the season? Or play without fans? Or carry on as normal? Crazy to think a situation like this could occur, and escalate so rapidly.

Sure they could suspend it like the NBA but cancelling right now I think is not likely.

You guys went through a hard rebuild and made huge moves to compete this year. I hope you guys get your shot.

No doubt the CHL and Q regular season and playoffs will be suspended. Big disappointment but wise thing to do in the circumstances.
Quebec teams will have to lead the way:

From the Wildcats office:
"Pick-up of the 2020 playoff packages & t-shirts has been postponed until next week due to processing issues.
We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding."
I think it's more than a "processing" issue at this point.

Did not see this coming only a few short hours ago. The pace and magnitude of cancellations is stunning.

Article from Stéphane Leroux about the suspension of activities in the Q, the all-in organizations being worried about that and what it may mean for the possible options/format when the league resumes: www.rds.ca/hockey/lhjmq/des-organisations-sont-inquietes-1.7276333Also, looking at the Avenir Center events line-up for the next few months, it may become a scheduling nightmare, although I assume some of the listed events will be cancelled soon and not at the last minute.

If hockey games are cancelled no way they have concerts. At least they have the Coliseum as back up!

My (uneducated) guess is they get a handle on the cases, quarantine those that are sick and games resume in 4-5 weeks. For the Q it means going right to playoffs, likely best of 5's instead of 7. They would likely have to play back to back nights games 1-2 and 3-4, take one week per series. Obviously if it goes into the 6-7 week range, the season is likely done.

The wildcats are the #1 tenant at the Avenir center and their lease they signed says they don't get bumped. They are the #1 priority.
