I think Cowan is more suited as a asst coach I believe we bring in a well known name for the next 2 yrs. As for next year's team I don't think patandeau is ready to be a starter if Ellis comes back as a 20 that's a NO brainer cost might be a 2nd and 3rd the defense is set so upfront I would kick the tires on legare from bc offer them the lottery pick and go from their. I thought Patenaude looked great and should be ready to start at 18 with a more competent defense in front of him. In my opinion, the starting position is his to lose. I'd like to at least give him a chance before spending assets and using up a 20 spot.

An experienced backup would be nice.

But he'll have a much team in front of them than they did at 18 and beyond. I haven't checked his numbers but I'm sure they're not good. But neither were Bouthillier but he was the hands down MVP of the team. His GAA was over 4 and save pct. under .900 but he stole the show many nights. I'm pretty sure last season's team was the worst defensive team in franchise history. The only reason they were in the mid-pack area was goaltending and offence.

Draft Lottery is on May 6th, Draft is on June 5th and 6th. Round 1 is on the 5th and can be followed on the youtube channel. Rest of the rounds are the next day. (No idea why they would do this).
One thing that popped into my head. Gatineau has 18 balls in the lotto, We have 2 and Quebec has 1. Let's say Gatineau gets pick #1 with the Titan pick. They would then need to take out the remaining amount of Titan balls for the draw for pick #2, and rinse/repeat for pick #3.
What I'm getting at, is they need a way to show which balls represent the AB pick, the Halifax pick, and the Gatineau pick separately. If not, they would have no way of knowing which teams pick was drawn.

Won’t they just have the corresponding original pick logos on the balls?

I listened to an interview with Trevor Georgie and he mentioned that the trade period opens June 3rd. He said that he had 2 new additions to the team. We all know about Inniss but the other player had been kept pretty tight lipped...

There are a number of ways they can distinguish each set of balls from each other.

Looking at the makeup of the team, I would guess that it is a 20, and given that the forward market may not exist, that would leave either Ellis or a D like one of Boudrias, Bergeron, Arsenault

Looking at the makeup of the team, I would guess that it is a 20, and given that the forward market may not exist, that would leave either Ellis or a D like one of Boudrias, Bergeron, Arsenault Out of those names the only one that makes any sense right now would be Boudrias. Ellis has a contract and won’t be cheap even though they have Jones They would keep Ellis over him unless it’s a good offer. That is if he’s back. Also Bergeron is IMO the best 20yo in the league. He will not be cheap so unless you expect SJ to pay big for him, it won’t be him. Arsenault I think will stay because they only have 4 guys and he’s the best of the rest. Maybe a 20yo defencemen from CB. They have a bunch and they all could be good fits in SJ. I know there’s a rumour out there that one of Larose or McCormick is heading somewhere to finish a trade. Larose can’t go to SJ but one of Baker, Halvena or McCormick would be a good fit with SJ. If I was a betting man I’d say Halvena might be the odd man out and wouldn’t be to expensive. He’s the odd man out and he would bring leadership and grit. Him and Inniss would be a pretty rough pairing.

I'd be okay with the 4 oa coming to camp if we don't buy now. Spadafore is likely the odd man out, but if he improves as much 19 to 20 as he did 18 to 19, he'd be a quality player to have.
Aside from that, we have a lot of potentially returning bodies.
