Hearing they cut Dimattia yesterday. He has been better than Sheehan and has better size. Hard to agree with that move. I hope you heard wrong. He showed the most promise of the group. I think it makes sense if the plan is to run with a Cornish-Usnik tandem - get DiMattia home and settled for the school year, and let Sheehan hang around as second goalie since he is a local until Usnik arrives.

Haven't heard much about Campbell recently? Are they still planning on him showing up?

Makes no sense to keep Lund-Cornish when you drafted a 19 YO import goaltender. The only reason you keep Lund-Cornish is if Usnik doesn't show up.

IMO, you’ll see them run usnik-DLC till Christmas or sooner. It really depends on how usnik performs. This way they have a vet in case usnik doesn’t adjust well

With the CEGEP deadline passed, I expect 2 or 3 cuts from the following, Daniel(F) Forsythe(F) Isasenza(F) Casey(F) and Desrosiers(D).
All 5 may go plus Sheehan to make room for the two Euros, Fortier and Campbell(assuming they get some kind of agreement to get him to Moncton). That would make the final roster 2-7-15.

Samuel Vachon and Gavin Watt were released today. Updated numbers: 26 players Goalies(2) Cornish-Sheehan Defense(9) Spence Stewart Dejong Olson Berube Iasenza Pilotte Pavan Desrosiers Forwards(15) Hudson Stewart Daoust Bernier Labelle Thomasini Cloutier Loshing Langlois Daniel Casey Leblanc Stammer Richard Forsythe More cuts are coming... Plus Usnik(G-Euro) and Barbashev(F-Euro), Fortier(OA) and Campbell(border?) up in the air. My guess on the final roster if they can get everybody over(until midseason): Fortier(20) Daoust Loshing Cloutier Hudson(20) Bernier Thomasini Richard Stammer Campbell Stewart Barbashev(Euro) Labelle Langlois LeBlanc Cut Casey Daniel Forsythe Dejong Stewart Spence Olson Pilotte Pavan Berube Cut Desrosiers Iasenza Usnik(Euro) Sheehan Cut Cornish(20)(may keep 3 in case Fortier only stays 1-2 months)

Jonathan Desrosiers and Brock Forsythe were released.
Nice to see Nathan Casey and Frank Iasenza still around. No rush in sending them to Junior A and Midget AAA respectively. Casey is expected to play for the Fredericton Red Wings. Their season isn’t starting until the end of October. Quebec Midget AAA suspended activities until September 15.

What's the story on Bernier. This pickup was kind of under the radar with Tomasini, Campbell get more of the attention. Is he a potential diamond in the rough?

Is he a potential diamond in the rough? www.eliteprospects.com/league/qchl/stats/2019-2020?sort=ppgHe played in the Quebec CEGEP league, they signed him during last season. He was one of the top scorers and had the 2nd best PPGM in the league.
