Philippe Daoust was drafted by the Senators in the 6th round and former Wildcat Desnoyer was drafted in the 5th round by the Flyers.

Philippe Daoust was drafted by the Senators in the 6th round and former Wildcat Desnoyer was drafted in the 5th round by the Flyers. Pretty impressive for Daoust who was ok but not very noticeable 1st half then stepped it up in the new year. He is set up for a strong year.

Pretty impressive for Daoust who was ok but not very noticeable 1st half then stepped it up in the new year. He is set up for a strong year. My only knock on Daoust's game is I wish he'd shoot more. He always seems to look to pass and half the time they don't connect. But I saw tremendous improvement from him over the year last year. He seems to have come to camp with added size. Glad the NHL scouts were watching him. Also good for Desnoyer. He seemed to take a quarter step backward last year from what we saw in his rookie season.

I think the struggle for Desnoyers was the same as L'Heureux Jan-March...they lost playing time and also PP time.
