I'm not sure they would use the Rogers feed for Sportnet, it's not near the same level. I think they only want to do games if the can do it right. And showing Happy Gilmore is doing it right ? So send the Crew into the Atlantic bubble and do their 14 days, and then start showing hockey on Friday, Saturday, Sunday. It may be all the hockey they have the opportunity to show this season. Don’t even need to bring the crew down. I am sure it can be produced remotely and as we’ve seen in other sports the games can be called from studios. Would prefer watching that over Happy Gilmore

Seems like a missed opportunity. Showing movies on a sports channel when everyone has streaming services with thousands of movies seems like a total waste. Not gonna pretend I understand how any of the broadcast contracts work though, in terms of cost.

My understanding is that all of the equipment they use is capable of HD, but Rogers just doesn't have an HD Channel locally. I mean, its kind of ridiculous, HD came out in like....2005. We've already seen games in Bathurst broadcast in HD where the commentators were at the Sportsnet Studio.

If you have the Rogers Super Sports Pak all Q games that are on local Rogers are broadcast on the super sports pak channels in HD
