Charter flights carrying Russia, Sweden, Finland, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Switzerland, Germany and IIHF staff and media arrived yesterday in Edmonton.
All teams, staff, media, etc had to quarantine 7 days with 3 negative COVID tests before being eligible to be on the charter flights and then have to do an additional 4 days with a COVID test each day.

They would have flown up yesterday from their training camp. All teams had to follow the same structure for quarantining to be able to get in the bubble. Canada locked down their training camp after the 14 days they were forced to go in to - media wasn't even allowed in. There was a bunch of issues with the European charter flights - they were going to store luggage in the cabin and the SWE/RUS/FIN teams at first refused to board the plane. IIHF arranged for a cargo plane to ship the gear and luggage.
