Thibeau would like to add a 1r pick. If he can get it for Daoust, I guess we'll have our answer That said, is there a demand? That should be the minimum they ask for, Daoust was excellent last year and should be one of the top OA in the Q this year. They should be able to get at least that at midseason. Oh! He has my vote for sure, I've been following his progress since his first camp with the WC. So I don't have any doubts about Daoust. My interrogations are more regarding the needs in the league for such a OA upgrade? Not many places...

Robert Lagace had an article yesterday repeating many of the rumors we read here.
18th overall pick going to BBA for the 21st plus 41st as well as Blagden(2002).
He also confirms the Desgroseillers one as well as the WC shopping Daoust for a 1st and a 17 or 18 year old skilled F.
Another thing he mentionned is the WC might be able to add Bastarache(2002) from Bathurst for a mid/late round pick given that he has no room there, Dube as well but he mentions other teams. Bastarache had 7 points in 19 games last year.

Bastarache would be a nice depth pick up and the price wouldn't be high at all

Cats are teasing something on their Instagram for tomorrow. New Jersey? New logo? Colour scheme?
Likely it's related to a jersey for the 25th anniversary.

I still find it childish that they pretend this is the 25th year of the franchise and pretend year 1 didn't exist.

There wasn't anything to celebrate about 2016-17 or 2000-01 but they aren't celebrating 23 or 24 years.

Not sure why anyone would get worked up about which year they choose to celebrate milestones ... from the Cats perspective, they acquired the franchise 25 years ago ... the fact that some of the assets (basically the franchise rights and player list) came from what was previously a failing business under a different brand is irrelevant to them. The Wildcats are 25 years old.

The Wildcats are 25 years old. In the end milestones are just strange arbitrary numbers humans decided were important to celebrate. Not really worth stressing over. For whatever reason people decided 5 and 10 year increments were important. It's really just an excuse to put some themed nights together and maybe invite some old players back. The Hawks night was a huge success so hopefully the creative team is hard at work. Love the new jerseys.
