I didn't notice him spitting on Sunday. He was suspended earlier in the season for that as well. Such a dumb move when he's such a good player, to lose time playing in your draft year. I really enjoy watching him when he's playing, just needs to learn to control himself a bit but hey some teams like that kind of thing I guess? Yah that's what I meant with that comment.. he was suspended for it earlier in the year. Being a pest is tough to play against, especially when the pest can score goals. There's a line that people can't cross, and L'Hereaux has crossed that line. He had a good teacher last year in Khovanov... another player that other teams and fans hate, but is quite effective. Edit: My bad guys I didn't realize L'Heureux was suspended for two games from an incident on Sunday. A pest is someone who is a nuisance, or annoying. L'Heureux may be a lot of things, but a pest isn't one of them.
L'Heureux has been suspended three times this year....all of them from incidents that happened in games involving the Islanders. Spitting and flipping people off sounds more like a kid with a bad attitude. With only 3 goal vs the Islanders this year, it seems like it's not that hard to knock him off of his game.

I really don't get the hype surrounding him with the draft. Maybe it's just a bad year and he's the best of a mediocre bunch. I'm a Caps fan and if he's available by the time they pick, I want them to pass on him. They've tried the net-hanging approach before and it doesn't work at that level.

I'd expect a 16yo with those stats to be ranked in the 1st round of the NHL draft. I don't think he's done anything this year to hurt himself... other than being suspended 3 times. He has better stats on a worse team this year. Plenty of players show signs of immaturity in junior and then turn out fine as professionals. I'm not saying he should or shouldn't go first round. And any arguments using this years' stats should be taken with a grain of salt given the circumstances. But he's ranked in the 1st round by every ranking agency, and they would also take his maturity level into consideration with their overall view of him (I would imagine). www.eliteprospects.com/player/419758/zachary-l-heureux

That definitely helped pad his stats. I find he can be defensively lazy which is probably what adds to his frustrations out on the ice. Maybe he'll be good in the NHL, but I see him as minor league at best with the odd call-up here and there.

As a mooseheads fan L’Hereux has been the most disappointing player for me this year. He has great hands, he’s strong on the puck, he has grit....but he’s very selfish and immature on the ice, and the one that pisses me off the most is his effort away from the puck! He is terrible defensively, almost like he’s to good to help, extremely lazy on the back check as well. He would not see 3 on 3 if I had the call.
