the precedent has already been set to handle this the NB teams would have to agree to work isolation rules as the NS teams did for the past x number of months there is no unfair advantages at play here..... playing no games for a month and going to Quebec would not be any more beneficial then playing 3 hardnosed series to get there would be No precedent has been set that plays all games in one rink. That is a big unfair advantage. If anything it should be played at a neutral site, and that's why I suggested they both go to Quebec and play there to eliminate one. Charlottetown should not get any advantage over the NB teams. Finishing first against NS teams shouldn't give you any advantage over NB teams beyond one extra home game. Sitting around for a few weeks and practicing, watching game tape of their potential opponents, getting injured players healthy, is nothing at all like playing 3 hardnosed series. That is the most ridiculous thing you have ever said on here. In a season with empty rinks having a 7 game series in one spot is no big deal. Unless the same team gets last change every game. The series will be played in as fast as possible. They probably go b2b then 1 off day then b2b then one off with game 5+6 back to back. It's an abnormal season. And there will not be much interest in travelling to another neutral jurisdiction either for the competing teams or for public safety reasons.

Both teams driving to Quebec, just for one to get eliminated would be beyond dumb... perhaps the dumbest thing he's ever suggested on here

With all the new cases coming up in the maritimes and the new stricter restrictions, I am having a hard time seeing a playoff for Charlottetown happening. With it only being less than 2 weeks away to the end of the NB teams, I cannot see things getting better by that time.
I would not be surprised if the CPO revoked the Islanders work isolation rule at this point.

I would not be surprised if the CPO revoked the Islanders work isolation rule at this point. They can’t...if they’re going to let everyone else continue to work isolate, the Isles will be fine. Can’t have two sets of rules. They’re going to isolate for two weeks either way, so it really doesn’t matter...95% of the team will be gone once the two weeks is up anyways.

Isles deserve this... I remember all the negative talk from non fans when the announcement was made they would be work isolating lots of people saying they’d break the rules. This team has been nothing but professional since this was out in place and these young men deserve to be rewarded by letting them try and achieve their goal.

NB can’t come here, with basically no cases...but NB can go to Quebec where they’re in the midst of a 3rd wave? Just really can’t see the logic you guys are trying to come up with..

I don't know a lot about the situation and rules, I just figured at this point with the state of emergency and CPO being basically in charge, they can revoke it if they think necessary. I don't want that to happen, as it's been said the Isles have worked hard and followed all rules, it would be a shame for it to happen.

Once I have an overnight stay involved the regulations change. I don't do that because I'd have to isolate 14 days when I return to NB. I have a feeling PEI will change their rules today. Right now PEI residents can come and go freely to NS, and vice versa. After the NS blowup over the last 2-3 days I expect they will lock things down, and the NB regulations won't be relaxed anytime soon.

Just really can’t see the logic you guys are trying to come up with.. We can all go to Quebec because they have no real regulations preventing it. We would all have to isolate upon return to PEI/NB but by the time they all return the season would be over anyway. PEI and NB regulations get in the way of playing a series in the Maritimes.

NB government probably just indirectly shutdown any possible Maritime Q Final with their new rules around any travellers coming in to NB having to isolate at an approved gov. hotel for 7 days @ 200$/day.

PEI also made changes ... "Additionally, effective Monday, April 26, there's a change for people work-isolating in P.E.I. following travel within the Atlantic provinces: A negative test result is required before entering any workplace."
