It will be expensive, but I'd like a top 4 ld, a starter and two top 6 options by next Wednesday with an oa spot and 2 euro spots. Anyone know what happened to the whole Lemieux rumour? Also not SJ related but on this topic anyone else notice that Val D’Or only announced one trade Wednesday? I thought they had a few futures from the Christmas trade deadline. It was only rumored that we were working on a deal. No one really ever said it was done. Val D'Or was reasonably pick rich. They had the assets to avoid all their deals being futures. Now, they can sell at full price. |

The interesting thing about this draft for the Sea Dogs is that it will feature players born the same year as the team.

Well I'm not sure if Natan Grenier was a good pick at 19 or not. I guess time will tell. Hockey Prospects has him ranked at 19 and I guess the Dogs did as well. CSR had him in the 4th round so who knows.
As far as moving Carruthers.. I would have like see him stay with the team or at least get higher picks or move him in a deal for an impact player. According to Georgie he was looking for more ice time that they were not going to guarantee him.

Didn't need to trade Carruthers to get him more ice time. All Gilbert had to do was buy into this crazy concept of dressing and playing 4 forward lines. 🤦♂️
