The team replaced most of Tim's duties already (except the radio part where they went with the cost cutting method). He was a full time employee who realistically had part time work. A lot of time and effort can go into producing a Q radio broadcast 68 times. If he was doing that plus communications and social media marketing for the team there would definitely be a full time job there through a hockey season. Its starting to be more about the webcasts than radio but having that home town familiar voice is a better experience for the fans who may listen more or in the webcast world buy more streams. When Tim was with the team, they also had to pay someone to run the social media and content every game... he wasn't calling play by play and producing all the teams content at the same time. Outside of play-by-play he was probably only handling media/interviews requests for the team and thats about it.

Just curious. Should the Seadogs get someone local to do the full season instead of having guys all over the place doing games. Ie Kyle Moore in Sydney..nothing wrong with him just using him as an example.....should have 1 voice all year going into a Memorial Cup Hosting Year...just wanted to get peoples thoughts. I miss Tim. Don't worry, now that he was shown the door by the Wildcats, you might see him around TD Station watching hockey more often.
