I wonder if the league is worried about the lack of talent that's come through in the past 3 years. I don't ever remember a drought of elite talent like this. Seems like 3 consecutive down years. Maybe we were just spoiled by the 2015-2018 stretch.

Any idea when the draft rankings come out? Last year, the final CSR rankings came out on May 20. Hockey Prospect released their final Top 100 a couple of weeks before the draft - and I'd expect the same this year. They are very thorough and actually rank the picks from 1 to 100, but the bad thing is, you can't post that info for all to see. My own profiles are now up to about 100. I currently have the top 14 listed and have been adding 3 more every day just to space it out. I'm currently still evaluating and adding more profiles and ranking them every day - but once you get down to the 3rd and 4th tier of players - the top 50 is pretty well set - and you fit each new player bio in where it seems to fit. I like getting my own rankings out first. For anybody interested in that sort of thing - you know where to find it. I don't post them all here because I don't want to clutter up this forum with a hundred player bios or more - and I like being able to keep them all in one place together in one collective work. Again - I'm not so egotistical to say that my own rankings will be anything special or to go by - but they are great fodder until the real scouts come out with their official rankings.

Just google MHL Network. While you're there - take a look at the Top 55 Career Players in 55 Seasons. It's a walk down memory lane for long-time Maritime Junior fans going back to 1967.

The top 17 prospect bios are now up - adding 3 more every day - but actually have about 100 now put together and ranked from top to bottom - just spacing it out some with 3 a day so people have time to digest them a bit. The draft is still 8 weeks away and the playoffs are in full bloom.
Is there a list available of where teams will be drafting? I know there is a lottery for the top 3 (I think) - but would be kind of neat to look at where teams will be drafting - and which players might be available around those picks.
Like - if Halifax drafts 7th - who might be available at that pick?
Thanks if anybody has that kind of updated info. With trades - and trades to be completed before the draft - I have no clue.
I'm having a little bit of fun with the bios because of the unexpected. For instance, I was doing a bio of a smallish kid named Evan Depatie last night - not expecting to see much - it looks like he'll never have much use for a razor. Anyway - watching his game action - he's fierce - mixing it up with bigger players - taking the puck from them. I think I put him in at 64 or 67 - somewhere in the 60's. He can go with the puck too.
There's a few players like that who seem to jump out at you out of nowhere.
Hey - check out the bios. You don't need to agree with them or anything.
IMO - they're a lot better than you'll find anywhere else right now as far as 2022 QMJHL draft prospects.

Thought Kearsey has played his best hockey in the 2nd half - particularly at QCup. Little undersized but really not much difference between him and Owen Phillips in terms of size. Curious on opinions Zonnon and Boisvert as well. I think Zonnon playing at Northwood went a little underrated into QCup - love the player.

Kearsey and Boisvert bios are already up - both in the top 20. Nice to see people checking them out - but I'm not a professional.

So - is the following the draft order barring trades? 1. Cape Breton 2. Baie Comeau 3. Victoriaville (Top 3 determined by a lottery at a later date) 4. Val d'Or 5. Chicoutimi 6. Rouyn-Noranda 7. Moncton (to Halifax?) 8. Blaineville-Boisbriand 9. Drummondville 10. Rimouski 11. Halifax 12. Shawinigan 13. Acadie-Bathurst 14. Gatineau 15. Sherbrooke 16. Saint John 17. Charlottetown 18. Quebec If the above is correct according to the reverse order of the standings - does the order of the lottery stay in the same order in every round - or does it revert to Cape Breton - Baie-Comeau - Victoriaville the rest of the way? When is the draft lottery? Lottery is only 1 2 3 not subsequent rounds Also Val D'Or's pick was traded to BC

As of this morning, the top 26 draft picks are listed in order with three more being added every day.
A common theme every year seems to have people chipping in with "it's a strong draft this year" - "or it's not a strong draft this year." Most seem to think that this draft "isn't deep."
What I find is that all drafts are overall fairly strong - with only the very few top players being up or down a bit over the usual. There are no years when an entire age group of players magically underperforms and underachieves.
IMO - this is a very strong draft class. There might not be a concensus number 1 - but there is some very top talent in the mix. The talent level in what could be 2nd round picks does not drop off significantly from the probable 1st round picks.
I'm no expert - but; from my own perspective - it's going to be a very solid draft class.
As well - other draft info is now also added - draft order - lottery draft info and dates, etc.
The first two virtual drafts were pretty good - but I really think they are going to up it a notch this year. The people presenting it are going to be more informed and better prepared.

I agree, this draft class is starting to grow on me as well. I am wondering if these kids got hurt more by the pandemic then anyone, missing that last year Bantam, where this group would have dominated, may have given us the perception that they are not as strong. I like first 3 rounds of this draft class, it does drop off a bit after that, however I am sure, like every year there will be some surprises come out of the 4th, 5th and 6th rounds.
Keep in mind that this group will all be 19 at some point and we know it's a 19 year old league, I expect them to be just fine in 4 years when teams are looking to make a run with this group.
From what I seen at the Q Cup, I stand by Poirier as the clear #1 for this draft.
