Just read on the MHL board that Patty LeBlanc has signed with the Panthers too. Good for Patty after kind of a shitty way to end his Q career here after getting hurt, etc.
Not sure if he’ll be a regular right away, but I guess you never know with the amount of turnover they’ll have.

It was announced at the Isles awards night that Robillard had committed to UPEI. Looks like Gallant is the first and only player that the Panthers have announced to this point. Obviously more announcements to come.

Elite Prospects has some kid from Ontario on the Panthers roster for next year too. Looking at his stats, he couldn’t get it done in the O, played a few games for the Sea Dogs and then went back to junior A and put up decent numbers.
As far as recruits so far, the Panthers could be pretty weak next year..

Sammy Blais and PO Joseph both get a chance to extend their seasons.
They have been named to Team Canada for the upcoming World Hockey Championships in Latvia.

Great to see Jacob resuming his hockey career. I’m sure they pressing pause in January was the right move, but I’m glad to see him decide to lace it up next season in Summerside. Kids only get a short window to play junior hockey and then all that remains are the memories. Hopefully he will have a great season in Summerside. |

This news is from about a month ago but I just caught it now.
Former PEI Rocket defenceman Brad Yetman was let go as head coach and assistant GM in Rouyn-Noranda. Rouyn Noranda finished 4th in the west this season with 81 points and lost in the second round to Gatineau.
RN has been average or a little above the last couple of season, but one thing that they have been noteable for is converting their own late round selections into solid QMJHL players.
If we were looking to make some changes in hockey operations and/or increase the number of people working in this area of the team, Yetman would be a a great guy to bring into the fold.

Bumped into Ryan Graves at the Superstore today. He's happy with his season and is a UFA and excited about how that turns out.
