That was the islanders worst game of the playoffs, they came out flat and a few as bounces went in. I suspect a much better islanders team tomorrow, full marks to sha they played a solid road game. I wouldn’t want to say tomorrow is the most win game in a 7 game series but They have to win tomorrow

Islander's need to have short memories. Have a sulk about it for a few minutes and then move on. I have to agree it was one of the worst games I've seen them play.
Nice for all the Shawinigan fans that showed up. Looked to be having a great time.

Fulll marks to Shawi they played great. We were missing Simoneau that would be equivalent to them missing Bourgault or Bourque. Get him back in the lineup tomorrow and this is a different team. As for the Quebec troll I don’t n ow what your trying to prove besides acting like a sore loser that didn’t even make the finals . I felt our Second D pairs tonight I’m not going to name names the true fans will know the pair I mean but I feel they struggled really bad. Maybe nerves who knows. I am fully confident in this group and I am fully expecting this series to go to Shawinigan split 1-1

If the Isles can’t shut them down at home, how will they do on the road when Shawinigan has the last change? FYI I want Shawinigan to lose.

I didn't think the Islanders started bad but they made a mistake early that cost them and set tone for rest of the game.
When the coincidental roughing minors took two players off the ice Boyd & Cormier - then a Charlottetown PP started in the middle of their penalties so no Lukas Cormier was available and Charlottetown had some good zone time on that PP.
Unfortunately the 2 Islanders were in the box for well beyond their 2 minutes because there were no whistles. The PP ends up being cut short by an Isles penalty and that leads to the Shawinigan PP and first goal.
I wonder what may have been if say a whistle had happened sooner to get Cormier out of the box on that first Isles PP. Any offside, or goalie covering puck would have done it.
The momentum turned and Shawinigan never trailed.

It is only 1 game.. But right now Seattle, Windsor & Shawinigan are all riding 3 game winning streaks. I guess Saint John doesn't stand a chance in their Memorial Cup.

I just think some Isles fans were too confident saying Sherbrooke would be their toughest opponents and Isles would win in 4 against Shawi 😬

Before this started and will still be surprised. Both teams have earned their way to the finals could have easily been Sherbrooke and Quebec instead of these 2 teams.

Go Isles Go.

It was a closer game than the score shows.
The Islanders had a good start for the first couple of minutes.
An Islanders' player lost his bucket and made contact with the puck on his way to the bench - and it was one of those unfortunate penalties.
The Islanders killed it - but it seemed to drain them and maybe threw their line mixing off a bit - and the Cataractes came alive with some speed after that and got wings on their skates.
Budgell got the Islanders on the board late in the period with a short rebound off a Coulombe pillow and he had the open right side to bury it.
It was 1-1 after the 1st - but the Cataractes went ahead by a couple in the 2nd - the Islanders started pinching - and the Cataractes took advantage and went up 4-1.
From there they just shut it down - dumped it out - and played it safe.
It was a textbook win by Shawinigan and they stole home ice advantage.
Simoneau was missed.
That big Cataractes line are really quick on the forecheck and they have a few other speedsters on the team as well.
It's hockey and a best 4 of 7 playoff series. This is normal - and now it puts some urgency into the mix for the Islanders and everybody realizes that it's a series.
I would fully expect it to head to Shawingigan tied up at a game apiece.
The Cataractes have some speed and quickness and force a lot of turnovers.
The Islanders can play better - but I think that was about as good as Shawinigan can play - so I'd expect a much closer game tomorrow on the scoreboard.
I was surprised at how mobile the Cataractes' D was. I'm not sure what the puck battle numbers will show tomorrow - but it looked like the Cataractes were first on pucks a lot in all three zones. They had some jump all night after a bit of a shaky start.

And this is definitely not trolling.
