I was curious about the trades if there was indeed any future players coming. There hasn’t been any mention in that until George mentioned it yesterday will be nice to see who comes back.

If this is our bottom out year I can live with it haha caution next year could very well be worse no goaltending weaker set of overagers than we have seen in recent years currently no high draft picks nothing to move for much value to add high draft picks it will be very important to find some free agents, land an impact Euro perhaps convince a kid to change course and consider Q over NCAAA but i don't currently see next years team on paper looking very solid |

Will be interesting to see what takes place at the draft. George Matthew's has mentioned that there will be a 1st rd pick coming at the draft and 17/18 yr old player(s). i knew about the 1st rounder first I have heard of the player(s)... not sure why if they are 16-17 now that they would have been considered futures.... but will be interesting to follow still wonder if we might owe Chicoutimi compensation for Zach Roy playing all of 2 games |

I expect that next year we will acquire a 20 y/o goalie again.
We have seen this year that it is not costly to acquire a 20 y/o net minder. Yes, Robillard is lightning in a bottle….but we still should be able to find something to get us through the year in the off-season.
Our 20’s ….for right now, some combo of Horth/Morneau/Tessier/goaltender…..yes I’ll agree is a downgrade on this year’s (at least Frankie and Biakabatuka)….I do think the balance of our roster will be improved.
And I’ll count on us bringing in at least 1 promising Euro who can hopefully contribute right away.

Yeah, I expect our team to be worse next year unless we can find another experienced goaltender somehow.
We’re going to have to bank of the likes of Hughes, Michel, Hinkley, etc taking a big step.
Looks like we might have another stud in Kearsay, hopefully Michaud too in a lesser extent.

Thing is a 20 year old goalie is not always the best use of that roster spot.... we need to find a goalie that can develop along with the young core and not jettison vets in every year Aside from Welsh we have not developed a goalie in house in a long time Horth and Morneau will provide steady offense I feel..... but I don't think Tessier is a great overage option personally |

Acquiring a goalie will be a important factor.. replacing Robilard and Biakabatuka will be important but I really don’t think Gallant will be a huge loss.. I don’t think we will be much worse than we are this year if we can acquire a goalie somehow

hopefully Michaud too in a lesser extent. I personally expect Michaud to really break out next season. As a 16, he's showing that he can score in this league. So far he is sitting at: 44gp 12g 9a 21pts With more consistency, I think next season, his draft year, we will get a better understanding on what he can bring to this team.... |

And let's hope for some FA invites that can come in and contribute as Morneau and Romeo did this season.......and Romeo is only 17yrs old.

I'm sure Hulton will be working the phones to bring in a 19-20 Goaltender, probably his best bet considering there will be a shortage of quality 20YO G next season. Striking gold there would go a long way towards not completely scraping the bottom. |

Losing his leadership will be huge though, hopefully the younger guys really picked up on the good habits of our vets. And for draft picks, our first round Euro pick should be pretty good this year too. |
