The Islanders continue action this weekend playing host to the Boisbriand-Blainville Armada. Hopefully we can make it three in a row for the weekend.
Game time is 7:00.

Armada lost to Bathurst last night…gotta assume Sheehan plays tonight - looking at his numbers and they’re far from great.
All that leads to a bit of confidence that we could sweep this little home stand…hoping for another fun night at the rink

Missed the game tonight, but looks like it was another hard fought win. Hopefully they keep up that effort

What's with the Armada this year? I thought they were planning on this being an all-in, championship or bust season.
Are they dealing with injuries? I watched the highlights and they just looked bad. They ended up getting pounded the next day too.
They're probably wishing they still had the picks from our trade with them.

They're probably one of the biggest surprises of the year so far.

So when do they go all in? They need 4+ pieces to make a run this year and they have no picks to move, so it would have to be prospects. They only have 3-4 legitimate 18's for next year.
Their 17's are under performing season to date, but should be real good as 19's.
And to top it off..their pick bank for 2023 and 2024 is pretty thin.
They are not in a good spot in my opinion.

They also drafted Russian Euro Ivan Miroshnichenko... a highly regarded Washington selection.
It seems like they thought they'd have him in the fold, but for whatever reason they couldn't bring him in.
Miroshnichko was the Russian prospect who was highly regarded, but had Hodgkin's Lymphoma during his draft year and he fell in the draft.
