Not that I care, because I don't care but goes to show how overrated Hulton is as a coach when he doesn't have an elite goalie saving his ass. You guys better hope they hold on to Lapenna because without him, Hulton is nothing more than a tiny little human in a suit. I don't know how you guys like him so much. Go Islanders Hahaha is this for the World Cup thread? 10/10 shitpost friend Though if we don't get a better backup, once Franky is gone, we're gonna be like Moncton from a few years back. Yea that was pretty classless from Penguins23. However, it will be interesting to see how things transpire. Being in the beginning of a rebuild, I do not see how we can keep Lapenna. He has got to go to right the ship IMO. Hulton has some major decisions to make real soon. Good leaders can lead when the going is good, great leaders can lead when the going is bad!!! Stay tuned!!!

5 goals on 7 shots...... Something has to get done with Flanagan. He's not near Q ready.....at all. Don't we have a goalie coach to help this guy with his game?...I heard some comments from some of the Islander's staff like he's not seeing the puck or he's not looking in the right areas when the puck is in play. |

I believe you know the team has a goaltending coach and who that is exactly. He's been here since 2013 I believe. Not too many season that goaltending was the teams issue. And it's not again this season with Lepenna. It's pretty clear that the step up from The Mount Academy to Major Junior is too much for the kid. You're comment towards Paul Drew is simply ignorance.....and comes off childish and immature. |

I couldn't care less about the Islanders but if your backup goalie isn't ready for this level, that's not on the goalie coach. That's the GMs fault, whoever that is.

I couldn't care less about the Islanders but if your backup goalie isn't ready for this level, that's not on the goalie coach. That's the GMs fault, whoever that is. The GM has experts(coaches) who advise him on player(in all positions) development and if that development is not where it should be then you change something. Don't keep throwing him in there and knowing he's not ready and expecting any different results. |

Imagine having a billionaire owner, billion dollar state of the art arena and only making it past the second round twice in 11 years?
Not to mention probably the worst team in Q history back a few years ago..

8.26 GAA and 0.750 save percentage for Flanagan so far this season. I like him in the sense we aren't losing because he isn't trying. But he's so far from being Q ready, if he's ever going to be Q ready.

in all seriousness those are absolutely attrocious numbers and even worse when you take out his one full game performance versus Rouyn
last 3 starts he's averaged 23 minutes in the crease and has a GAA of over 12 and a save percentage of .681

Hopefully the Islanders figure things out with him. |
