Drafting two new ones or adding some from the Q already (one of the SJ guys?) interesting trade, have to think Cibulka is not back in CB this year, or he's a placeholder in case. I can see Moncton taking a run at Mateiko, or getting a big name euro to report. I'd guess one of each honestly. |

I expect that they try to pick a big name Euro like they have in the past (Jaskin and Axel Andersen type move), but surprised that they moved on from Zielinski so I expect that they must have something else in the works too. Moncton has to replace 3 of their top 4 defenceman from last year which is never great, but it’s not like they were a good defensive team so might be for the best. |

What type of player is Zielinski? Guessing he’ll be slotting on the 2nd pair here in CB.

What type of player is Zielinski? Guessing he’ll be slotting on the 2nd pair here in CB. Steady stay at home defenseman at 17. Rarely makes a turnover, can play physical. He was arguably our most reliable and safest dman last season. Most games you would not notice him and in a good way. I would expect with some progression there will be abit of offense added to his game and will be considered more of a 2 way guy. I'm pretty suprised by this move. I cant see them finding much with their 2nd euro pick so it'd signal to me another trade is happening. |
