Exactly. So as a team expecting to beat Moncton...thats a very underwhelming addition. Kind of agree , Sly must feel he’s better than whoever they can get to report Its a Cibulka replacement until they know 100% for sure on him I think. I don't expect it to be a move with the entire season in mind. |

Kind of agree , Sly must feel he’s better than whoever they can get to report Its a Cibulka replacement until they know 100% for sure on him I think. I don't expect it to be a move with the entire season in mind. That makes sense. He’s a steady defensive dman |

What type of player is Zielinski? Guessing he’ll be slotting on the 2nd pair here in CB. Steady stay at home defenseman at 17. Rarely makes a turnover, can play physical. He was arguably our most reliable and safest dman last season. Most games you would not notice him and in a good way. I would expect with some progression there will be abit of offense added to his game and will be considered more of a 2 way guy. I'm pretty suprised by this move. I cant see them finding much with their 2nd euro pick so it'd signal to me another trade is happening. Euro draft should be deeper with goalies and Russians/Belorussians back in now. |

There’s more to the trade , that is steep for an overager as is Agree, Vidicek would be a top OA but that's a big overpayment. |

Carrier to Halifax for Vidicek and two 3rds ... If thats the trade its a straight robbery for Halifax I mean Doucet went for a 1st + 2nd + 3rd Lawrence for a 1st + 2nd And carrier is coming off an underwhelming season (not necessarily his fault ) I don’t think the value is far off |

Prices will be high this year because the Memorial Cup is in the QMJHL this year, Halifax is trading from a position of strength and Moncton is not ! prices will be higher after the draft so might as well get it done .
But I agree moncton always seems to lose on trades with halifax.
