I know there was a tread on this topic, but I could not find it. Was the Friday night start time at 07:30pm an Islander's ,League's or Eastlink Center's initiative and is it making any difference as it was intended?

I personally like it, gives us time to take the kids out and grab supper before the game and not be rushed

Saturday at 7pm is fine but Friday 730 is perfect. I'd also prefer if Sundays would be 2pm rather than 4pm, but I wouldn't even mind a 12pm start now that I've experienced it at world juniors.

It was an Islanders thing, and this is the main reason And what's the difference in a Friday night(7:30) and a Thursday night(7:00)? Most of us are off Saturday so being out an extra 30 mins isn't as big of a deal. Also, for me personally, Fridays hit different. During the summer it's my day to take the afternoon off and hit the golf course. In the winter, it's nice to go out for supper after work. It's nice to have a tradition to start the weekend and create a disconnect from work. The extra 30 mins would allow me to walk in during warm-ups instead of rushing to make puck drop.

Still nothing sufficient to support the inconvenience and I'm not buying the extra time to get to the game. A lot of the fan base is either kids or older folks who would normally be in bed by the time they get home. Plus, if the Islanders were smart, they would try to get people to come to rink early and eat supper there.

Eating supper at the rink? Your not serious.. I have a 6 and 4 year old I work until 4:00 get home shower we live in Montague so normally we eat at Montanas or BP the 7:30 games are perfect for us obviously not for everyone but it’s something we enjoy doing with our young sons and the 7:30 time is perfect! Also wish the Sunday games were a bit earlier would like a 2PM start time

The Islanders wouldn’t benefit any from people eating at the rink…and the options are pretty limited

I have no info, so maybe they do…but it’s Brackley Drive Inn, so I’m sure they keep everything. I guess they likely rent the space from the Islanders?

I guess they likely rent the space from the Islanders? i'm sure the Isles get a cut from concessions but it's not much of a supper menu as for start time for the rest of this year i'd be ok with a midnight start time the games will put you to sleep anyway lol

I WOULD RATHER SEE IT AT A 7 O'CLOCK START AS BOTH MYSELF AMD MY WIFE ARE BOTH OVER 80 YEARS OF AGE AND
WE HAVE A 1/2 HOUR DRIVE TO THE CIVIC CENTRE THEN ANOTHER HALF HOUR OR SO AFTER THE GAME TO DRIVE BACK HOME.
WE HAVE BEEN DOING THIS SCINCE THE ABBBIES AND THE ROCKETS DAY. "JUST SAYING"
