Hulton making a few moves before the game today “ The Islanders have acquired 18-year-old forward Kiefer Lyons off waivers. Lyons has split his QMJHL career between the Moncton Wildcats and Cape Breton Eagles.
The team has reassigned Jonah Jelley to the Amherst Ramblers, Raine Nadeau to Stouffville Spirit, and has released Genaro Fronduto.
Newcomers Joel Marchon and Lyons are expected to make their Islanders debut this afternoon in Moncton.”
Definitely not unexpected Jelley hasn’t really showed he is Q ready.
Nadeau hasn’t shown much since he got here and they got him in a pinch.
I am surprised with Fronduto for the ice time he got he didn’t seem to bad.

Yeah, I don’t hate that lineup…
Obviously we’re going to miss Brabs and Franky, but I don’t think we’re any worse off than the first half. It’ll be a struggle to score goals, but I think if they all buy into Hulton hockey we can be a decent team.

There is where the struggle is. We have and likely will continue to struggle mightily with offensive production. Our 98 goals for is fewest in the league and the next worst team has 13 more goals to this point in the season. Our power play success rate is also last in the league. When I look at our line up, we've got guys I know will work hard and try their best.... but it's fair to say that opportunity is there for players who would be able to step up and deliver as an offensive producer at this level. Horth will be missed today. If I remember correctly, he suffered some sort of injury during the Rimouski game and left part way through.... right? Yeah, I don’t hate that lineup… Obviously we’re going to miss Brabs and Franky, but I don’t think we’re any worse off than the first half. It’ll be a struggle to score goals, but I think if they all buy into Hulton hockey we can be a decent team.
